An advantage of homeschooling is that people can learn anything on their own at their own pace, from science, to philosophy, to art and music. Any book a person could imagine reading is available online, for example:

Sadly, mass education is only intended to get people up to the bare minimum level they need to be at in order to fill out a job application, and tends to boil down to memorizing and regurgitating facts by rote. If a person isn't motivated above and beyond that bare minimum, they won't become well-educated or well-developed as a person.

Could be true. Homeschooling can also be used to hide abuse or neglect. Though I'm not convinced that the average public schooler is particularily well-socialized, given all the Adam Lanza-like individuals who it produces.

In most states Homeschoolers are at least moderately regulated by the state. My brother and sister in law have been homeschooling their kids in NY, IN, IO and WI over the last decade plus. Thankfully they’ve been able to find homeschooling groups to work with and dealt with the regulations in each location. The eldest graduates this year and will be headed to college next year. The kids are all well socialized.

Personally I think it’s a great thing for those families that can do it. Not every family can or should.

How do you home school physics? Chemistry? A foreign language? Trig?

Your link has nothing to do with the topic. Reported.

Rookie mistake. Do better!

Home schooled children perform better than their public school peers.

From textbooks and other source material… just like they do in the public school system. Or better yet since none of the topics you mentioned are actually necessary to everyday life… you just ignore them.

It's always amazed me that there aren't mandatory courses throughout school and even into college on managing finances. In my area there is ONE elective class in high school you can take for six months which was a good 101 class but it is not a mandatory class for everyone. You have to take math. You have to take English. You have to take science. But you don't have to learn how to live in the world, except for the woke classes which teach you there isn't a definition for a woman and that it's OK for boys to use girl's bathrooms.
