I admit I was seething this morning reading some of the more hateful and absolutely indefensible crap some of those are putting out. How does somebody get so twisted and full of hate to kill somebody like Charlie Kirk? And those who are so twisted and hateful to condone it, justify it, be happy about it are just as bad. I can't imagine being like they are.

Nobody knows who or whether I put anybody on ignore. But I sure try not to give the worst of the worst any time or energy. They neither deserve it or are worth it.

The difference is who deserves respect. Those who argue a point I disagree with and can make a coherent argument to support that point, deserve respect.

Those who rejoice that somebody tried to assassinate President Trump or are gleeful that somebody shot Charlie Kirk deserve no respect whatsoever. They are disgusting, reprehensible, possibly dangerous people.

The Left cannot tolerate reasoned people like Charlie Kirk because he creates too much cognitive dissonance in their brains. They cannot tolerate debate because their arguments are irrational and highly emotional. Someone who has an opposing view, and can communicate with reasoned facts and evidence, well, they are intolerable. It makes these weak people extremely uncomfortable. And for some, the only way to stop their discomfort is to silence the opposition. Some have tried it with Lawfare, some media blackouts or lies, and some with violence.

But the ultimate goal is to silence people they disagree with to stop the cognitive dissonance.

The second, and just as important part, is the ability to choose what you hear. You can choose to hear or not hear someone advocating for peace or violence. You have the right not to listen to crazy talk.

But I do enjoy community with some of you.
