I never thought that the cultural background of a dating prospect would make much of a difference when it came to relationships. However, since living in New York, I’ve had the opportunity to meet many different people from various backgrounds and it’s become clear that there are definite cultural norms specific to European men versus American men (especially New Yorkers). I’m not to judge that one is better than the other, and mind you, my observations are based on my own experiences as well as a group of women I’ve interviewed in the last two years. The below is a list of some of the themes and commonalities observed. Now, when I discuss the differences between European and American, I’m referring to a mindset.

You can very well be born in America but have a more “European” mindset and vice versa.

So, an article that is nothing more than American bashing based upon the generalities of a very small minority of the men in the USA.

Are we to be impressed?

If anything it shows their preoccupation with Americans and shows just how insecure they are themselves since they have to tear down others to make themselves feel superior. Sad really.

The second sign of insecurity is denying insecurity.

Possibly. Seems that they just want to tear down the USA and they're going to do this by targeting a select minority of the American male and use them in an unfavorable light.

It was totally American bashing. Most stereotypical analyses are. Rather than showing the full picture, negative aspects are cherry picked to justify a bias.

Notice they didn't say anything about European men running home to mommy when the world gets too tough. Or is that just the French?

Or maybe saying something that shows them in an unfavorable light would not suit their agenda.

There really is no defense something which paints an unbalanced picture where only the negative aspects are discussed without showing the other side of the coin. So when someone like you defends the indefensible it is literally an example of your insecurity of your cognitive abilities. Rather than admit it was stereotyping and not a complete picture you double down on stupid because you are so insecure that you are incapable of admitting you are wrong.

Why should I? I’m not the one rationalizing a stereotypical argument as being valid representation of a distribution. You are.
