for the love of Thor

The only "blue" states in the top 25 are Michigan and New Mexico.

That is an ass beating.

Texas has never been a friend of the middle class nor anyone else for that matter unless you are in the "club".

Tammany Hall were pikers when it comes to TX political graft-n-greed.

One of the worst eminent domain states in the country too.

You are FUUUUNNNNYYYYY!!!!! This post belongs in HUMOR!!

I've lived in CA and TX, and I can tell you for a FACT that what you posted is all LIES.

Living in CA, the taxes taken out of my paycheck were at 12-13 percent. The taxes taken out of my paycheck living in Texas, is 10-11 percent.

CA has taxes on EVERYTHING.
TX does not tax food, as it should be.

CA taxes go directly into the pockets of the politicians in office, and the corrupt corporations that back them.
TX taxes go into defending the border as much as possible, welfare, and unemployment.

TX is not perfect, but it's cheaper to live here than in CA!!! Why do you think all these companies keep moving to Texas from up North and from CA???? It ain't because of the heat!!!
there is also no sales tax on medication

yep people are fleeing Cali for states like Texas…so obviously it’s not just taxes
Land is expensive in Cali cuz it’s awesome. Still plots of land in the Texas desert that’s for sure.

Texas is a model for what a Republican nation would look like. High regressive taxes for all… except the elite rich. Basically the anti-Robinhood. Take from the middle class and poor give to the rich. Unless you’re rich you pay more taxes than liberals of California.

How many of you right wingers actually look before you leap?

Those coming to Texas for a tax break may want to turn around if they are not in the top 1 percent of earners.

This graphic is of data from the sixth edition of the Institute of Taxation and Economic Policy's "Who Pays" series, which tracks tax data for all 50 states and Washington, D.C. The last time the nonprofit released data was in 2018, but it is expected to release updated findings later this year.

Texans in the bottom 20 percent of income earners — those earning less than $20,900 — pay 13 percent of their income in state and local taxes, while those in the top 1 percent of income earners — those earning $617,900 or more — pay only 3.1 percent.

In California, the bottom 20 percent of income earners — those earning less than $23,200 — pay 10.5 percent in state and local taxes, while the top 20 percent — those earning $714,400 or more — pay 12.4 percent.

Here is the reality

Anyone trying to claim it is cheaper to live in Cali than Texas is a straight up liar.

The pretzel logic and mental gymnastics are astonishingly disingenuous.

Plus, you got shit all over the streets.
Who said that? Desirability is a factor. More people will pay more money for housing in sunny California. There is cheap land for days in Texas. That’s a big factor. Taxes though.. cheaper in CA unless you are super rich.

Biden hired more IRS agents than some allied NATO armies and armed them but the left worries about Texas. No surprise here.

I am sure some of it is....but others is full of human feces, gangs, earthquakes....and oh yeah...Cali has deserts too.

People are fleeing Cali for freedom...much like people fled East Germany, and Cuba

Show how they calculated toll road costs for each income group.

Let's see the methodology, Simp.
citygator get to calculating....................show us the methodology of how they calculated the cost of toll roads for each income group.

Let's see the data.

No they aren’t. No additional people are moving out. That’s documented. Fewer people are moving in. This is a result of home price escalation.

Nah, people are moving out, hence why Cali lost representation in the House. Do you not even pay attention to the news? California exodus continues, with L.A., San Francisco leading the way: 'Why are we here?'

California exodus continues, with L.A., San Francisco leading the way: ‘Why are we here?’

Have you thought of leaving California?

If so, join the club.

Recent polls by researchers at U.C. Berkeley (2019) and U.C. San Diego (2021) indicate that half of Californians have considered moving out of state.

And millions have already moved.

In 2020 alone, nearly 650,000 people left California for other states — about 210,000 more than moved to California from elsewhere in the U.S. This phenomenon of departures exceeding arrivals isn’t new. Every year since the 1990s, more people have exited California than have moved in from other parts of the country. Between 2007 and 2016, California lost a net 1 million residents to other states — with Texas, Arizona, and Nevada the top destinations.

....

Various factors contribute to decisions to move.

The leading factor is cost — it is far more expensive to live in California than in other places, and multitudes have decided they are unable or unwilling to pay the premium to live in this state.

But other costs also drive decisions. A quick glance at the price of a gallon of gas, a utility bill, or a tax bill in California compared to Texas or other states makes one wonder whether the premium is worth paying.

This is why Progs ar murderers. And you support it. The failures of Prog agendas which were supposed to turn areas into utopian paradises is a disgrace for the money extorted from citizens. California should have no ghettos and no homeless.

Anyone who hates living in a red state, please GTFO and move to a blue state.

I am a Floridian…born and raised. If you live here and want it to be more blue, just fucking move.

By the way, as a state, we do not warn people enough about alligators. They are a real threat and they will kill you. Do not swim in Florida ponds and lakes.

I had to admonish some dumb tourists lounging next to a pond with Gators…these assholes let their very young children play on the banks of a body of water with alligators.

Wrong.

A new study released Wednesday found no big exodus of people leaving California for other states during the COVID pandemic.

But California is still losing population to domestic migration, because fewer people than usual are moving in from other parts of the United States .

“Every single county has seen fewer people moving in from out of state since the start of the pandemic,” said the nonpartisan California Policy Lab.
