Texas Gov. Rick Perry Indicted For Abuse Of Power

To add insult to injury, this drunk idiot was riding in the bike lane.. A child, anyone could have been killed because SHE ALONE chose to drive drunk- with an open bottle of vodka on the seat next to her when they stopped her.. Once arrested, she kicked, screamed, threatened to spit on officers.

irrelevant.

Common Sense says that once your DA has been arrested and in jail, someone has to do something about it.Lehmberg showed poor judgement and such disdain for Law enforcement she obviously should have resigned but that would have been respectful and dignified.

Here's an interesting question: why was she not DISBARRED for this? (Which would make her resignation a moot point.)

why dont you ask the judge and jury

I would think that decision would be up to the Bar wouldn't it ? Doesn't matter much anyway-----It's Austin. No conservative stands a chance here.

The drunk liberal's testimony at trial:

District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg took the stand Tuesday, testifying that she had been heavily intoxicated the night in April she was arrested for drinking and driving.

On the second day of her civil trial, she was solemn and reserved, admitting multiple times that her behavior toward the sheriff’s deputies and corrections officers who booked her into Travis County Jail “had been totally inappropriate.”

In response to questions from state lawyers, she also gave the first public and detailed account about the events that have led to the case seeking to oust her from office.

Lehmberg said she left work about 4:30 p.m. on April 12 because she had wanted to complete some tax work at home.

She drank some vodka and sparkling water, though she could not remember how much, before leaving about 7 p.m. for the Alamo Drafthouse, where she had two more glasses of wine.

She said she recalled how much she drank there because she had the receipt. But after leaving the theater, she stopped at a nearby liquor store to buy a bottle of vodka, then a convenience store to buy some soda, and sat in her car in the parking lot to have another drink, she said.

She was alone checking emails and “messing on her phone,” she testified. She could not remember how much of the bottle she consumed, she recalled, but when she turned on the ignition, she did not initially think she had been intoxicated to the point of physical impairment.

Once on the road, she said, she had trouble controlling her car and decided to find a place to stop and call someone for a ride. A sheriff’s deputy then pulled up and found the bottle of vodka in her front passenger’s seat three-quarters full, according to the testimony.

“Do you know you were intoxicated to the point that you couldn’t drive?” asked Jim Collins, an assistant county attorney prosecuting the case.

“I was more intoxicated than I could believe,” she responded

The prosecutor was convicted of DWI and refused to resign.

How can a prosecutor represent the interests of the people when she herself is a criminal?

Austin is chocked full of moonbats and a misdemeanor indictment on this charge, given the facts, only ENHANCES Perry's standing.

Please, keep trumpeting this as loudly as possible.

Wasn't GW Bush arrested for drunk driving....

Did you vote for him for President?

Laura Bush ran a stop sign and killed a man.

At least she didn't run her car off a bridge, leave a person behind in the water, run home to call her lawyer before the cops and then put on a neckbrace to sport for the media.

She was sooo out of control, she had to be restrained.
Someone drunk out their minds had to be restrained while under arrest? Did they use a bed-sheet, a towel, Kleenex, or maybe those thing they carry on their belts called handcuffs?

Lucky they had such things, even though they never needed them before she came along...

That is truly amazing! They are trying they are indicting Perry for trying to replace a drunk skank?!

She was asked to resign by every leading newspaper in the State, the Police Associations, MADD chapters, etc etc.. because she is in the ONLY liberal county in Texas, liberal scum circled the wagons and she refused to resign.. Rick Perry told her and all of Texas he would not fund her dept on Public Integrity and would veto that bill.. he did exactly that for which he was brought up on indictment by the LIBERAL COURT system in that county..

Do you or do you not know what "disbarred" means?

Actually it might have been that she was driving, or that she was dead before the car went off the bridge and he wasn't even there? We'll never know, the truth died with Teddy and he never told anyone that we know of...

Bullshit. She was alive when the car went into the water. Cause of death was DROWNING. Just stop, you're embarrassing yourself!

Even liberals have to be embarrassed by a drunk skank DA. They're just getting over the "gentile giant" Brown shit though.

That's a lot to handle, especially when it's all on film!

She's the DA in Austin. The closest thing to Berkley in Texas. IF she walked naked into a private upper-class pre-school and gunned down every child in the place and finished off survivors by bludgeoning them with a puppy, they'd pin a medal on her for culling Republican spawn and throw her a parade.

This is because the Ideological Left, rests in Relativism.

Relativism axiomatically rejects objectivity.

Objectivity is an essential element of truth. Truth is essential to trust. Truth and trust are both essential to a soundly reasoned, sustainable morality. And all three are essential to Justice.

This is demonstrated in her failure to resign; having violated the public trust, she demonstrates her failure to recognize that what she did violates the public trust. And that the public placed that trust in her, to not only NOT DO THAT, but to prosecute and punish those who DO!

That she failed to recognize THAT proves irrefutably that she has no sense of anything akin to a soundly reasoned, sustainable morality... wherein such violations of trust, are seen as irrefutable evidence of insufficient judgement to be worthy of the trust with the power inherent in that public office.

The same is true for the culture within which she operates, which did not summarily remove her from office.

Now, having remained in office, she is abusing the power entrusted to her to injure an innocent, who's only crime is to have condemned her for her failures and who legitimately used the power of his office to lead as the Chief Executive officer of the State of Texas. Which is a demonstration of her failure to serve justice.

The bad news is that relativism is not a sustainable set of principles and a culture which allows such to become the principles on which it is governed, is doomed to crash and burn.

Actually no one knows. It's an odd case. They went off together but she left all her stuff back at the party, including her house key, and that's the last actual thing anybody but Teddy knows.
