Good to hear from a political expert on this. If the feds don't treat the states with respect, we'll hear more states talk about seceding. Obviously there are lessons from the past that need to be learned.

Please leave. Only your fleas would miss you.The funniest thing: Don't the freaking liberals hate us anyway--"flyover country", "red states"? I mean they've hated us for decades. Now that our bags are finally packed and we've got one foot out the door, they're threatening to not let us leave?
Abusive jerks

A higher percentage of paperwork and office style employment are in cities. Paper wealth. The foundation or what is left of it is more in flyover country or red areas in blue states. Please leave. Only your fleas would miss you.

They sure do mention it a lot.Texas will never secede from the USA.
You have a point. Democrat politicians are even crazier than Sherman was back then. The Feds have all the bullets in the 21st century. Old Joe might forget about Ukraine, Syria and Iran and nuke Texas.
Where Texas goes, Missouri follows. It isn’t hard. A Constitutional Amendment would do it. 2/3 of the Congress, 3/4 of the states to ratify and you have the Republic of Texas. It can’t happen soon enough IMO.
