No one can ignore for decades Ukraine was widely known as a country of smugglers, counterfeiters, sex trade pushers and general bad people but now all the sudden they are babes in the proverbial woods.
But western countries want this war. America certainly does because zelenski spoke about sitting down with Putin to figure out where this was heading and to talk but it was all but ignored. If Biden wanted to help he would have encouraged a sit down and spoke words of encouragement to foster a talk, but he didn't. He kept bad mouthing Russia and promoting Ukraine and poking the bear.
