It is now official. Now we wait and see if Trump respects the American constitutional process, or if he decides he is the new Caesar.

My own perspective is that maybe it was the right decision by SCOTUS. And the dust wll eventually settle and a new way of proceeding may evolve. But, given the mad dash to insanity the left is making, it may come down to making use of a different methodology to apply tariffs.

As a conservative, I happen to believe that the Executive Branch isn’t the branch which should be imposing tariffs (except when Congress has authorized the President to do so under specific conditions).

The SCOTUS ruling on tariffs therefore doesn’t shock me. But I agree that this is just a temporary road block to the President’s larger plans.

I see nobody in modern American history as determined as President Trump has been to undo the damage of leftist ideology. I pull for him every day.
