Same reason a lot of laws are overlooked... because they aren't practical.

Here's the underlying problem with a trying to outlaw something that people want. People will ignore it.

This is the lesson we should have learned from Prohibition.

Americans actually want undocumented labor. They want people to do the menial jobs, and they want the benefits of their labor. You enjoy it every time you go to the grocery store.

Even sensible Republicans like George W. Bush realized that a path to citizenship for some undocumented immigrants was probably necessary.

You don't have to have undocumented immigrants to do those jobs.

Until the laws are changed, they should be enforced.

The majority of Americans want the border secure. It was one of Trump's main campaign promises.
