Suppose Trump is elected. How long will the GOP elite allow him to stay president?

A better question would be: How long will President Trump allow the "GOP elite" to remain?

Not really. Here's the thing. Trump is going into office with the majority having voted for soemone else and probably a disapproval rating coming in. All it takes is one scandal, and the GOP will turn on him in a second and the Democrats would be happy to help.

Trump impeachment will be a shining moment of bi-partisanship.

....because SO many of your predictions come to pass.

....because SO many of your predictions come to pass.

YOu think the Republicans like having Trump as President?

I think they know we just kicked their asses.
Trump is a repudiation of Republican Leadership....mark this down, they will try and buck him but like Reagan he will bring to his base and we will bury them wit phone calls, emails and mail.

If they want to hold onto their positions of power, they'll support Trump as long as their constituents support him. Otherwise, they'll suffer the backlash from the voters.

So much liberal fantasy on these threads lately. I guess that's what happens when your candidate and their view for America is soundly rejected.

I laugh when I hear that HRC won the popular vote when the FEC has already admitted to 3 million illegals voting in the election for her. Guess what libs, those votes don't count and if challenged in court they would disappear immediately.

You lost. Live with it like we did for 8 years. Donald Trump IS your President.
Don't be disrespectful like you were to GW Bush because we will fight you this time. We learned our lesson about letting you shame us and it WILL NOT happen ever again.

Nope, if the "GOP elite" were anywhere near that effective Trump would never have been elected. The GOP elite no longer are.

Well, Trump wasn't "elected"... he was selected. Hillary got more votes.

Secondly, while a lot of hte people who voted for Trumps are his brown shirt deplorables, most who voted for him just hated Hillary. They'll turn on him in a heartbeat, if they see his approval numbers are low enough.

"Well, Trump wasn't "elected"... he was selected. Hillary got more votes."

Wrong on both counts. He was indeed elected and by what could be called a landslide. Hillary got more votes? Bullshit. That's is just make-believe that you keep chanting in some kind of delusional hope it might become real. Sorry dude, ain't happenin.

The only part of that is true is that a lot of people hate Clinton. A lot of people hate also hate Obama and many in his administration so his support of Clinton may well have cost votes. But (SURPRISE!!) it is altogether possible to hate Clinton and like Trump at the same time. If low popularity rating meant anything Obama would have been toast years ago. I am a prime example: I hate Clinton and like Trump and am very pleased to have him as President for the next 8 yrs.

You work on the assumption that Trump is personally popular.

He isn't. He'll be less popular when his policies trigger a recession or war.

The official count has her up by 1.5 million.

Yes, but the people in this country who aren't racist assholes are going to be horrified when this UNELECTED president does things people didn't want.

What until all the White Trash in PA and WI figure out that their health insurance is going away.

Really? Because you say so? I have to think that if that were true you would have added a link and/or quoted a source.
Even if true that figure would be far more than offset by fraudulent Dim votes. How many illegal aliens were encouraged to vote in California alone. How many absentee votes were never actually counted?

"Yes, but the people in this country who aren't racist assholes are going to be horrified when this UNELECTED president does things people didn't want"

This President was elected by the same time-honored legal methods as the others. Being a sore loser is not a valid reason to challenge an election..

Suppose Trump is elected. How long will the GOP elite allow him to stay president?
Four years.

....Trump could have the shortest presidency in the history of the United States. And the media will take a severe lashing for not seriously vetting Trump. Even giving him free infomercials for his golf courses and hotels.....
....But still longer than the Hillary Presidency. LOL FWIW, if Trump's Presidency is shorter than a full term, then it's because he wants out and to go back to his gilded palace, yachts and private freedoms.

The media? WTF? Only nutjobs and whackos think it's "the media" is more than a business and/or that it's their responsibility to vet politicians.

Trump will be president for 4 years, he will let the republicans in house & congress do most every thing they want. like always. We the people will never band together, the big money, the elite, red or blue will do what ever they want. Like always.

I've been linking it for weeks... every time it updates.

And, no, guy, your side has been claiming that there were illegals voting in CA since 2000, and you have yet to prove it.

He was SELECTED by an archaic system we shouldn't be using anymore. Most of the other 44 guys won the popular vote.

Sour grapes, Dude. The electorial (not selectorial) college defines our elections as specified in the Constitution. That's the way it's been. The way it is. And the way it will be because we are not going to change the Constitution just because you lost an election. Get over it. Move on. Pouting doesn't become you.

After Trumpenfuhrer fucks up everthing, you are going to see both parties falling over themselves to get rid of the electoral college.

Point was- the People Said NO!!!!

Poll: Hillary Clinton receives higher post-election grades than Donald Trump

Hillary Clinton received higher grades than president-elect Donald Trump in a post-election Pew Research Center survey, which is the first time in its polling history where the losing candidate outperforms the presidential winner.

The survey, conducted after the Nov. 8 election, included interviews with voters who were originally interviewed before the election.

In the wake of the election, 30 percent of voters gave Trump an A or B grade, 19 percent gave him a C, 15 percent gave him a D and 35 percent gave him a failing grade.

Clinton, who lost the Electoral College but who’s winning the popular vote, received an A or B grade from 43 percent of voters.

Remember, Trump has made enemies of the entire GOP elite.

His Trump Foundation is under multiple investigations. They've already been found guilty once and that's just the tip if the iceberg.

The Trump U trial starts Nov 28th and it's very unlikely Trump will win. And when he loses, he will be open to criminal charges.

His financials will come under intense scrutiny just for national security. That means the 650 million he owes to the Bank and China, India and Russia will be closely looked at.

Trump could have the shortest presidency in the history of the United States. And the media will take a severe lashing for not seriously vetting Trump. Even giving him free infomercials for his golf courses and hotels.

More and more stories like the one below will come out and the media will be under intense scrutiny. Most Republicans don't even know Trump has upcoming court dates.

Donald Trump Cut Off Medical Support For Baby In Will Battle With Late Brother's Family
Wills, Trusts & Estates Prof Blog

Trump will end up disgraced. The GOP will pay a terrible price at the mid terms and the media will lose a lot of it's talking heads for not doing their job.

All this if Trump is elected.

So what it is you think will happen if he becomes president? Thoughts?

Very True--while Republicans have a small majority in the Senate, it doesn't necessary mean good news for Trump and his administration.

Trump and his supporters have made plenty of enemies in both houses--by continually attacking them with establishment--rino rhetoric, so you can count on some payback. Marco Rubio, who has already stated he's going to stand against Trump, John McCain is certainly no lover of Trump, and let's face it, he's not got anything to lose. Mitch McConnell tried to block Trump's nomination, and as Senate leader he can table anything he wants too. Rand Paul another non lover of Trump, and of course Ted Cruz. Lindsey Graham who would have no problems at all voting against Trump. So Senate Republicans will be loyal to Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell and what he wants to do. Trump and his administration will be put on ignore.

So do Republicans really have a majority in the Senate?--LOL Or is it a Senate majority of 51 minus at least 6--LOL

In the house, you have Paul Ryan house speaker--who has been relentlessly insulted & attacked by Trump and his supporters. The Reich wing even tried to primary him. Ryan also is in charge of what bills & issues the house will discuss and even if they'll move ahead with legislation. House Republicans will be loyal to Paul Ryan and what he wants to do. They also will put the Trump administration on ignore.

Trump is no longer on the campaign trail, he is in their ballpark now, and it's they that have the real control, over what legislation they want to initiate, pass, table or deny. And Trump can't "fire" any of them---LOL

Paul Ryan is going after the Federal Budget Deficit, they'll probably try to get Democrats to work with them on Obamacare, at least getting the cost down. They don't have the votes in either house to repeal it. Wall building, term limits, mass deportations, undoing existing trade agreements, locking Hillary up, basically everything Trump campaigned on, will NOT be on their agenda's.
