You never know when a crazed democrat will go nuts and try to kill him, then of course you would have to shut down the polling place so the Secret Service can make sure it's secure, make all the other voters stand in line for untold hours while the idiot press demands photos and yells questions. You know, just mail it in and do the voters a favor.
