Did they listen ? No. So now, the dum dums are experiencing defaults on rent payments. All because they stuck with high minimum income requirements, thereby renting to high income young people in the workforce, while disqualifying lower income older people on Social Security and pensions.

Now these dopes are learning their lessons. The young people in the workforce are subject to losing their incomes, when something goes wrong. That's what's happening now with the Corona virus.

And the older people ? No interruption in income. They keep rolling stably along.

I think there are a lot of lessons to be learned here.

You cannot trust the government to enforce rule of law and or obey the constitution

People with totalitarian tendencies will be emboldened like peacocks

You definitely cannot trust the media

Many people refuse to obey simple healthy things

Most police will do whatever the politicians they work for tell them to do

The local and state governments have no problem with destroying peoples livelihood because after all, they still get paid.

This is a bad time for everyone if you are a landlord.

This is what happens when the government gets involved in anything.....just look at our health care system. It's a mess....thanks to the Commies in the DNC trying to take it over.

Are you not cool with the social distancing ? Personally, I don't like it, but I think it's probably necessary for a while.

If they stopped paying, when they could pay, the landlord could get even later. Refuse to renew their lease. Same as kicking them out, and they'd have a good reason.

It always was a bad idea to have a 3 times the rent minimum income requirements. The people who have that are young people with jobs.

Problem there is, today their income could be 3 (or 4) times the rent, and next week it could be nothing (with or without the Coronavirus).

Not the case with senior citizens with lower but more stable incomes. They often have income of less than 3 times the rent, but still enough to pay the rent without any trouble. Amazing how landlords can't seem to get this straight.

I never really liked being too close to people anyway, and nothing had really changed for my wife and I. We are more stressed and my poor grand daughter is really stressed out. She's 20 and her mom is mid 40's and the relationship is like the GD is the mom. Plus her dad had a stroke, and her brother started having seizures and refuses to see a doctor. We've been going to all the same places we ever did and Monday will go back to the gun range. Likely as not we will be the only ones there. And it's outdoors.

Sell the body fluids. Either way no income should mean no housing. It is BS that landlords have to wait God only knows how long before they can get their property back, yet owners of apartment buildings are still on the hook to pay for water, trash, etc. each and every month.

So how come you people are making this illegal shut down stay active? You must really love to see people's lives ruined over an attempt to get rid of Trump.

You need not worry about your life being ruined, if you're dead.

Are you baked?
I'm guessing he doesn't qualify for the apartment he wants.
And this guess has relevance to the topic in what way ? Even if the guess were correct, so what ? Doesn't change anything.

Dumb landlords are still dumb for setting high risk standards, when their standards could/should be low risk. And they're finding out now.
