Tampering, however...

"DENVER (AP) — A Colorado man who is a registered Democratic voter has been arrested on suspicion of tampering with voting equipment by allegedly inserting a USB thumb drive into a voting machine at a polling station during the primary election in June, authorities said."

He was unsuccessful because there have always been many secret & obvious layers of security on these machines. None of which were breached in 2020.

Shades of Jussie Smollett? A democrat goes in to alarm the election board getting caught about efforts to tamper so that media can point fingers at conservatives and blame it all on unfounded righwing conspiracy theories? Then after the left cheats again and gets caught, they can say: "See! More baseless, dangerous conspiracy theories trying to endanger our democracy!!!"

You prepared to give us a signed affidavit swearing to that claim with proof you have the authority to make it?

Anyone trained as a current or former election machine technician with a computer background can bypass those layers.

isn't that that cute.

candy thinks it's cute that a democrat got busted for 'allegedly' tampering with a voting machine.

if it was a republican, she'd be handing out pitchforks and torches.

I'm sure glad Trump signed that executive order before he left. The one that mandates the penalty of cutting off someone's thumbs when they commit voter fraud.

He did remember to sign that, didn't he?

See? ^^^

SECURITY.

How does this stupid shit even happen?

How does someone get close enough to insert a flash drive into a voting computer in the first place?

Now we're talking about physical security. Access control.

If this was the most secure election in history, I'm Uncle Sam and you should be very scared and very concerned.

State-level law enforcement units created after the 2020 presidential election to investigate voter fraud are looking into scattered complaints more than two weeks after the midterms but have provided no indication of systemic problems.
That’s just what election experts had expected and led critics to suggest that the new units were more about politics than rooting out widespread abuses. Most election-related fraud cases already are investigated and prosecuted at the local level.

Florida, Georgia and Virginia created special state-level units after the 2020 election, all pushed by Republican governors, attorneys general or legislatures.
“I am not aware of any significant detection of fraud on Election Day, but that’s not surprising,” said Paul Smith, senior vice president of the Campaign Legal Center. “The whole concept of voter impersonation fraud is such a horribly exaggerated problem. It doesn’t change the outcome of the election, it’s a felony, you risk getting put in jail and you have a high possibility of getting caught. It’s a rare phenomena.”

The absence of widespread fraud is important because the lies surrounding the 2020 presidential election spread by former President Donald Trump and his allies have penetrated deeply into the Republican Party and eroded trust in elections. In the run-up to this year’s elections, 45% of Republicans had little to no confidence that votes would be counted accurately.
An Associated Press investigation found there was no widespread fraud in Georgia or the five other battleground states where Trump disputed his 2020 loss, and so far there is no indication of that in this year’s elections. Certification of the results is going smoothly in most states, with few complaints.

Isn't that wonderful?

Liberals have been telling us there is no voter fraud and then when republicans point out a democrat arrested for tampering with a voting machine who didn't succeed, they say "See, it's secure!"

Ain't that nice? You try to convince me that voter fraud didn't happen by PROVING liberals attempted voter fraud. This guy was not successful, but how many were and got away with it?

So you're saying all forms of security one man can make is something no one else can possibly understand or defeat?

No one person knows all the levels of security covering every vote. I know many of them the public doesn't know because I work the polls. Yet I still don't know them all.

There was never any proof that Al Capone was a murderous gangster. He only went to prison because he did not pay taxes on his honestly gained money.

Obviously, if the Chicago Police Department could never prove he committed any other crimes, he must not have.

Right?
