Why not just do everything possible to avoid suspicion in the first place? Make deadlines absolute, not erasable because one party or the other discovers a box of ballots in the trunk of somebody's car. If you forgot to get a bunch of ballots in, too bad, it's on you that you denied someone their vote. Do not allow ANY ballot handling or counting to be done out of plain sight. From the moment the polls close, all ballots and anything that contains ballots are completely visible, not stuck out of sight under somebody's desk. No plywood covering windows. No simultaneously shutting down multiple counting places only to re-open with a massive cache of ballots all for one candidate. Require photo ID to vote and make them available free to the voters. Why is there such a struggle against even common-sense measures like these? Such struggles only bolster the contention that the party resisting them is cheating and doesn't want anything that would make it harder to get away with said cheating.

Again, why the resistance to changes? It just means you're constantly having to defend yourself against accusation of cheating.

There is that. You’re right. The overwhelming majority are law abiding. Probably above 95%.

That being said, when you have people spending millions and millions of dollars for jobs that pay (sometimes) less than a hundred thousand a year, its not hard to imagine that such people are not motivated by an abundance of honesty...they want the power to shape the nation.

Money is the root of all evil and these days, wherever you turn, folk want to control you.

You do realize that the change in the drivers license, updates to the bank account, and updating the SS information is something you have to do. Not doing so means trouble for you in the future when you show an ID that doesn’t match the name you gave, when your bank account doesn’t match your new DL, and your SS Benefits. These are things where you have a vested monetary/legal interest in updating the record.

Voting doesn’t hold the same reward and penalizes women in that regard (if you want to call it a penalty).

Meanwhile, the fact stands that voter fraud is exceptionally rare and these new hoops do nothing except create artificial friction between the citizen and the ballotbox.

It isn't that there are just so few arrests for voter fraud, it's also that there are so few duplicate ballots and that the down-ballot races rarely (if ever) show any massive voter fraud as well.

What is not discussed because the Presidency dominates so much of the discussion about voter fraud is that each and every voter is represented by a Senator and a US Congressperson. So if there is massive voter fraud in Nebraska's first district or Calfornia's 20th, there would be outsized numbers in both of those districts as well. Yet the losers in those districts never seem to cry foul very often.

What also isn't happening is massive complaints about persons showing up to the polls and being told that they already votes OR subsequent visits by state elections officials who wonder why Jane Doe voted twice--once by the alleged nefarious creature who supposedly voted in her name and then by the actual Jane Doe who went to the polls as she has done every year for decades. Or as described below, multiple ballots being mailed to the same house...

If the alleged fraud was so rampant, there wouldn't be these itemized stories about such fraud.

Moreover, if it were so easy, clearly, the parties would institute sophisticated mechanisms to take advantage of the alleged loopholes. But that hasn't happened either.

Biden was the least popular "winner" of the presidency in US history.
Almost nobody attended his rallies. They used COVID and mail-in ballots to steal the 2020 election.
On Jan 21st they had to put up fences around Washington to keep everyone out.
Somehow Bye-dumb got more votes than any US president, but then the next election those votes evaporated.
They have tons of videos of poll workers in Georgia and other states counting fake ballots and recounting the same ballots over and over.

But the damage was done.....and now we're paying for it.

Meanwhile the facts remain that the GOP picked up seats in 2020. They couldn't have done that if there was widespread voter fraud. The 2 Senate Races in Georgia went to run-offs because the democrats were so good at cheating they forgot to give their candidates majorities.
