A prominent NAACP official recognized Martin Luther King Day by labeling black senator Tim Scott a puppet for the Republican party. “A ventriloquist can always find a good dummy,” said Reverend William Barber II, the president of North Carolina’s NAACP chapter.

The State reports that Barber’s remarks came in a speech in Scott’s home state of South Carolina. “The extreme right wing down here,” he said, “finds a black guy to be senator and claims he’s the first black senator since Reconstruction and then he goes to Washington, D.C., and articulates the agenda of the Tea Party.”

Another leftist displaying how tolerant and diverse he is by insulting a black man for being a successful and accomplished conservative U.S. Senator.

One thing is for certain, though. The Reverend Barber is definitely "twice the man" Senator Scott is

Why do he bother with the 50 cent word? Ventriloquist? Why didn't the good reverend simply call Scott what he really wanted to call him?

A house ******... An Uncle Tom...

Gotta love it...

These people get more nasty with each passing day

then they whine there is no Civility

The hatred heaped on blacks who wander off the reservation is a fine example both of liberal tolerance and their racial conscousness.

The NAACP much like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson becomes more irrelevant with each passing year.

I agree and it's sad because the original organization W.E.B. Du Bois created did great things for a lot of great people.
