Start the Federal Govt slashing: Senate Investigation finds only 6% of federal employees work from office full time

The naivety of magats never ceases to amaze me.

Do you have any idea of the cost of office buildings, electricity, cleaning, desks, maintenance and so on?

These have been eliminated by several companies including my employer.

I now provide the desk, the electricity, the bathroom services, lighting and so on and I am a lot more productive than I was in a tiny cube packed into a huge open plan office that is noisy and brightly lit. There's no advantage in having a huge office building and wasting people's time travelling two or more hours per day, totally wasted time.

Musk is a dunce.
We are still paying for these buildings... we have to keep the plumbing up to standards set by our government... same with electrical and even painting...
The offices must be cleaned every night whether the offices are filled or not... and despite what the bureaucrats say... they are not more productive working at home... which is why private industry has forced their employees back to work...
One building was empty for so long the EPA tested the water and had to redo every bit of plumbing... and it was due to non use for too long... not to mention the swollen frozen pipes bursting....

So tear the building down. Hire laborers for $100 per hour to get rid of it. Problem solved.

Either bring back the employees or sell the damn building and put the money into the treasury...
I say sell it. No need for it. Many types of office jobs today needn't be done from a costly office. I wish I had the working from. Home option back in my working years. So so so much better than waking up, fighting traffic, and all the awful horrible things included with a pitiful office. Plus I wouldn't have had to see the bosses in each depth ugly faces either.

Do you work? or are you a kept woman? Have you ever had to commute hours and hours each day in pissing rain? You are - as we know - an entitled racist battle axe who thinks she's better than everyone else. You've exhibited no skills either in all the weeks I've been debating with you, you are sloppy, inaccurate and lazy, so what job could you actually do?
How is she racist? WFH sometimes is fine but it should be an anomaly and not a norm. Impossible to build teamwork, culture and train young people and or new people if the majority for the time people WFH. If you had a job instead of bashing Jews all day, you would understand.

We can do both.

1) There is a horrible overstaffing throughout the government, which allows “workers” to stay at home and put in half-days. Once they are required to return to the office and put in full days, at least one-third of the jobs can jobs can be eliminated. Many of these will happen by “workers” refusing to come into work.

2) Then, office workers can be consolidated in fewer office buildings, and thus 100 or so of the 287 (!) federal buildings can be sold.

Sell the buildings, why is this such a major concept that we need Musk to step in?

I work in private industry and they have long since cancelled their lease and we work from home as the preferred model. No office costs, heating/cooling costs, no cleaners, no sick bay, no communal toilets to maintain, no canteen, no supplies room, no security guards, costs...

I am more productive working at home, since you do not know what my job is or anyone's job is, how can you assume that a person is always more productive in an office than at their home? Explain, please how can you determine productivity of a person when you have no idea what their job is?

Consider a composer or artist (for example) do you think they would be more productive by travelling in busy traffic for an hour, trudging upstairs and sitting at a piano with other busy people coming and going, followed by the trudge home?

Or do you think they are more productive by walking to their own studio and doing their composing in the comfort and serenity of their own property?

Why not compel Williams to get in his car every day, trudge through traffic and rainy sidewalks and so on, and stop this lazy goofing off "working" at home like a lazy deadbeat and work like everyone else!

One building was empty for so long the EPA tested the water and had to redo every bit of plumbing... and it was due to non use for too long... not to mention the swollen frozen pipes bursting....
Sell or repurpose the buildings, they'd be ideal for temporarily housing all those migrants that are going to be rounded up, a lot cheaper than building some huge facility - are you really this inept?

This is the "norm" for Williams and countless other people who's job entails creativity and who's output is materially improved by working from home, his "productivity" is hugely better than it would be if he commuted everyday to some busy shared studio complex.

Why does Williams do this? is he a fat lazy slob who needs to join the real world perhaps?

A musician doesn’t work in an office. False conflation

Empty buildings don't maintain themselves, fucking parasite.

Why hold onto an empty building then dingbat?

Forcing people to work in a building when the only justification is that you happen to have the building, is not good management, it's the kind of stupidity I expect from Trump or Musk.
