Golden Parachute jobs are common. Companies give people of status jobs to recognize and thank them for their service. They have a window seat. In other words they could show up to work and look out the window for all the effect they have on the business.

Let’s be honest. The kids of politicians aren’t able to get regular jobs. Nobody wants the baggage that comes with it. It’s not like Hunter could be a Manager of a Fast Food Restaurant. RW douche’s would come in and shout at him and cause scenes every day about how awful his Daddy is. The Trump kids all work for Daddy, because there isn’t a lot of other places that you can go and get a job with that last name. Obama’s kids are going to end up spending their lives working for some group or another for political causes, as are the Bush Kids, Chelsea Clinton, and the rest.

So Hunter got a job he wasn’t qualified for. Well hell, we have those happening every day around the world. I personally wouldn’t hire a Trump kid to insure my lawn was mowed. But that is irrelevant.

The question is did Hunter have the ability to effect policy? The answer, it doesn’t seem so. Ronald Reagan’s kid was hip deep in the Loan scandals of the day. So Hunter being a somewhat shady business guy, well hell if he was a Republican Trump would probably swear they were great friends and he was a great guy.

Neil Bush was the son of then Vice President George Bush, and was one of those in charge of a Savings and Loan business, and the business went belly up and cost the taxpayers a billion dollars to fix. But hey, he was totally qualified to run that business. Or something.

The problem with all this nonsense is the same as it was before. At most Hunter could call his Father and ask for some help for the Ukrainians.

Now, the claim is that the Ukrainians fired a prosecutor who was investigating Hunter. If he was investigating Hunter, it was about the only corruption investigation ongoing. The guy was detested by pretty much the world for not investigating corruption.

Now, was it wrong for Biden to say fire that guy? Yes. It was. But it wasn’t hidden. It was painfully public at the time. Biden did the wrong thing, in fact the same sort of thing that Trump did later, sort of. Biden threatened to withhold loan guarantees. Trump really did withhold them.

Unethical? Sure. But as I’ve said many times. I didn’t vote in 2020 because both candidates were steaming piles of shit.

But it wasn’t nearly as corrupt as you idiots on the right want to believe. Or since I doubt you really believe it, want to use as a cudgel to wave at the Left.

Everyone in Washington is a crook, and we’ll never get better because you idiots don’t care about the corruption on your side, only the corruption on the other side. And that is why we are doomed as a nation.

The election was fairly won. Your savior lost. There was no cheating going on that would have been massive enough to sway results.
