SpaceX Starship reaches for the stars. Complete success

Based on your history of posts, I'd guess you are a cafeteria worker.
typical low intelligent democrat believes calling someone a cafeteria worker is an insult

democrat alway have always hated groups of people they can put in classes.

yes em masta demorat, i beez duh cafeteria workuh, yes em masta demorat

After giving billions to Musk, maybe there will actually be some money left over to do science.
Still clueless as usual. Musk saved the government hundreds of billions. Why you say? How many rural internet service did the Biden administration provide? Can’t come up with a number? Me too. Starlink, without sucking on government’s milk is providing service in rural areas all over the country. Best of all, Musk did it without this infused DEI nonsense.

Don’t get me started on the number of chargers the Biden administration built after wasting like what, $8 billion.

Rescued the stranded astronauts from the space station. Launched dozens of satellites.
That was extreme bottom barrel scraping low of the Biden administration. His administration would rather allow the astronauts to die up there rather than green lighting the rescue because they hate this ultra successful S. African.

Are you clueless? If NASA is doing this, there wouldn't be any launch for the next 5 years because of bureaucracy and well possibly added DEI. By launch, the price tag would be no less than $200 billion. You should thank Musk.
So, you don't think Space X is doing a good job? What is it you want to see them imporve with your tax dollars?

Huh?? What? Where did I say Musk is doing a terrible job?

I don’t know who predicted it would never make it to orbit and come back and I don’t care.

The problem is its weight keeps increasing and the payload capacity keeps decreasing.

You can’t make it to Mars with a rocket that carries less than a falcon heavy.

It’s going to be a very expensive starlink satellite machine if it ever finishes development hell.
Your vision is too limited. Think regular launches to orbit where the vehicle to Mars gets assembled. Since it doesn't have to boost from earth's surface, it can carry a bigger payload. Don't limit your thinking.

How many rovers has SpaceX landed on Mars?

That is magnificent. Then add up the costs. We must lower the costs. This is the age we are in now. The government side jump started our space presence in the late 1950's. Let the private side loose from the shackles.

Geez it only took them 47 years, from the first launch to the first rover.

How about we give SpaceX some of that time?

By the same token, how many rovers have crash landed on Mars, ending up totally useless?
Irrelevant.

NASA is doing actual science. Isn’t that the whole point?

No, Musk is not trying to do science, he is trying to reduce the cost of getting things into orbit, and eventually extend our reach to the outer solar system. Just as with all major advancements, someone does the science to see if something is possible and someone else builds on their work to make it safer, faster, cheaper and better all around. Somebody had a thought that we could build a powered vehicle that would get us off the ground and someone else figured out how a jet engine would work, making modern air travel possible.

NASA will still be able to do science, but do not be surprised if they turn around and utilize some of the technology the Musk develops to keep costs down.

Launch costs for the mission were roughly 5% of the total project.

A slightly cheaper launch option is just not going to make any significant difference.

This administration is very anti science.

Good grief, this is only the beginning. Again, stop being limited in your vision.
