Just as the Florida law has been deliberately misrepresented as "Don't say gay," so is the Texas abortion law being misrepresented as banning abortions "after six weeks" of pregnancy. Neither law even contains those words, yet these misnomers have become inserted into our daily lexicon by the Radical Left.

The truth of the matter is that Texas bill SB 8, prohibits abortions after detection of a "fetal heartbeat." This occurs after 17-20 weeks of pregnancy, not six weeks. Do yourself a favor and read the Texas law. It is not long.

The definition according to Texas is as follows:

SUBCHAPTER H. DETECTION OF FETAL HEARTBEAT Sec.A171.201.AADEFINITIONS. In this subchapter: (1)AA"Fetal heartbeat" means cardiac activity or the steady and repetitive rhythmic contraction of the fetal heart within the gestational sac.

Is there cardiac activity at 6 weeks? At 6 weeks, an embryo does not have a fully formed heart. Rather, it has a cluster of cells (that eventually forms into a heart) that emits electrical signals, which can be detected on an ultrasound.

You are correct there is not heartbeat a 6 weeks. It is an anti-Womans rights lie, and Texas still bans abortion after cardiac activity is detectable, around 6 weeks.
