Should Trump purchase Canada?

We are not a part of England,.it is complicated I guess. The Criwn technically owns all of the land of Canada, we are self governed and independent though.
That sounds fair. And I think this is an issue. that belongs to the people of beautiful, beautiful Canada and nobody else.

Just Google. Why is it people are just plain old lazy? :)

This is far from the first time that the United States has considered purchasing the strategically beneficial Arctic landmass.

After World War II, President Harry Truman offered Denmark $100 million for it in 1946, but Denmark refused.

The idea actually came up earlier in 1945, when Senator Owen Brewster, R-Maine, called Greenland a "military necessity" supported by American military leaders.

In 1946, a State Department official noted that the Joint Chiefs of Staff believed the U.S. should aim to purchase the territory. That December, Secretary of State James Byrnes even made an offer directly to Denmark’s Foreign Minister Gustav Rasmussen, suggesting a sale might be the simplest solution.

American interest in Greenland goes back even further. In 1867, the State Department explored buying both Greenland and Iceland, recognizing their strategic importance.

Ontario is bankrupt, corrupt and creepy. This would be perhaps the worst part of the deal, on top of some creepy large cities we have here.

How much will you offer to buy an East German emulating province that is in debt $300B?
Imagine two virtually bankrupt countries eyeing each other as a potential purchase? Makes me laugh actually.

I wager that when this country revolted against the king of England, many claimed that Washington never would defeat England. When the Nazis were engaged in war, naysayers declared the USA was way too weak to defeat the Nazis. But those thinking like me said, I will do that job and when they did, they won.
But this is 2024, there is no revolution..

A question is on the forum about making Canada a State? I have a stronger question. Should Trump purchase Canada and have the citizens there divide it into a number of states? I would not want Canada to suffer being purchased by the USA and deny their citizens the right to select what becomes states. It would turn out ugly to impose that on Canada. So Canada can decide to be part of the United States and Trump by public will can hand them money for the purchase.
Would you oppose owning Canada? If you are in a hurry, spool this video to close to the end. Say around 16:30 minutes.

Yes, let's bring Canada into the fold and give the Democrats another 54 electoral votes.

There will never be another Republican president.

That is an outstanding observation and sure begs Trump not to purchase Canada.

How does that work? You can't buy a house in Canada?
