Rubberstamp, in this thread I have seen the argument start from no king to now he just rubberstamps, meaning the king agreesNO. King has nothing to do with the process. most he does is rubberstamp the nominee.
No. meaning the King just says OK to whoever is chosen. he can't say otherwise. I know this shocks you but we are a fully independent country.Rubberstamp, in this thread I have seen the argument start from no king to now he just rubberstamps, meaning the king agrees
No they are independent but they use the British monarch as their head of state. But they have no political or legal authority over Canada.Sure, Canada is a part of England.

Yet the King appoints representatives of the King throughout the Canada's governmentNo they are independent but they use the British monarch as their head of state. But they have no political or legal authority over Canada.
Australia is the same way.
Is that a rhetorical question? Are people actually dumb enough to think this is even possible?
A question is on the forum about making Canada a State? I have a stronger question. Should Trump purchase Canada and have the citizens there divide it into a number of states? I would not want Canada to suffer being purchased by the USA and deny their citizens the right to select what becomes states. It would turn out ugly to impose that on Canada. So Canada can decide to be part of the United States and Trump by public will can hand them money for the purchase.
Would you oppose owning Canada? If you are in a hurry, spool this video to close to the end. Say around 16:30 minutes.

The Governor General is a ceremonial role and handles matters of State for the Monarch, who is head of state. They have no power in internsl governmenance.Yet the King appoints representatives of the King throughout the Canada's government

Canada's king is the King of England

I never said the Governor General has gone against the Prime Minister.Charles is the King of Canada. he also is the King of England, Australia, and other Commonwealth nations.
The King has no role in selecting the GG other than accepting the person put forth by the PM. The GG is the Head of State. other than ceremonial duties, the GG signs bills into law, no GG has ever not given royal ascent to a bill. The GG also issues the writ of election. Again, no GG has ever gone against a sitting PM's request to call an election.
No, we know exactly. He does nothing. and the GG is a figurehead.I never said the Governor General has gone against the Prime Minister.
Yes, people see a bit insure of exactly what the King of Canada does and how he does it.
