The bar chart shows Trump grew the rate and Biden has stopped the spike and turned in the two biggest drops in decades, -32% in 2024, followed by a year to date plummeting of another -12% in 2025.

You can't dance around the FACT that the DC crime rate is 2.8x the national rate, nor the fact that DC has the 5th most violent crime rate of any US city.
