Wouldn't psychological and neurological testing of the candidates give voters a better picture of who they actually are, rather than witnessing them trading barbs and insults in their interviews, speeches, and Twitter posts? Some tests evaluate one's problem-solving ability and one's ability to concentrate.

There's been speculation about whether or not Ronald Reagan had exhibited some signs of Alzheimer's disease while he was still serving as President.

they under go physical exams....i see no issue with mental exams...then again science shows little difference between a psychopath and a successful ceo....

Only if they are televised live and in color. Sponsored by.....

Interesting article. One excerpt seems relevant to a presidential election:
Focus on verified, tangible results –... [When electing a President] focus on real substantive accomplishments that can be verified – more than on personal charm and force of personality. While charisma and persuasive speaking skills are naturally desirable leadership talents, they’re also well within the repertoire of a psychopath. Be sure there’s a solid foundation of actual accomplishment to support all claims.
