We live (or are supposed to be living) in an organized civilized society. We make changes as a majority. We don't go out and destroy things like a bunch of animals. If you don't like a statue, then you address your representatives about it. You organize people to pressure your leaders to have it removed from said place. If you have enough support, your representative makes arrangements to have the statue removed, and perhaps give it to another city or state that would like to have it.

I forget the city this happened, but BLM put a painting on a main street honoring their organization. A lawyer who was offended by the emblem addressed the city to allow her to put a Make America Great again painting on another street. The city had no choice but to remove the BLM emblem because that would have violated her equal protection under the law right. That's how you settle matters in a civilized society.

He nor any of his several siblings ever spent a day in jail or prison. They all grew up, most of the men went to the military, came out after war and learned various ways to make a living. They didn't have much in the way of social programs. They were on welfare, but welfare back then meant pulling your red wagon five miles to the fire station where they filled it up with fruits and vegetables, and then you pulled it five miles back home, eating some of your treats along the way.

You have poor people come here from other countries. They barely speak the language and only a few dollars. Yet with enough hard work and enough time, they end up opening up their own business, and many work 7 days a week every week.
