Separation of Church and State

I don't get the logic of barring pastors from political office on basis of separation of church and state. Why stop there, if one feels that way then why shouldn't the separation bar anybody holding religious beliefs from office?

They ruled that parents can be reimbursed for expenses in getting their kids to school. Public or parochial. What does that have to do with Separation?
The ruling seems simple enough at the time but it was the basis of the fraudulent concept that we live with today. Democrats expanded the ruling to the point of threatening arrest for erecting a Christmas tree on public property or carrying a Bible to school or saying a prayer in schools while hypocrites in congress said a prayer before sessions.

If we truly believe in Separation of Church and State why de we allow so called reverends to run for office. Seems to be this should bar any clergyman be it a minister, priest or rabbi from holding office.
Who said "we" do?

And why do you think any law abiding citizen can't hold public office.

Damn ignorant bigot

But that isn't what it says.
Actually, it is what it says. No law respecting an establishment of religion.

Jefferson wrote a letter explaining, and that is where "separation of church and state" was first used.

Lauren Boebert, one of the most ignorant pandering politicians in America, called that a "stinking letter". Right before she said she was going to have to look up what "wonton killing" is, thereby revealing she has never read the Bible while pretending to be a Christian.

Only liberals don't understand that the First Amendment puts limits on the GOVERNMENT, not the citizen.

Liberals are ignorant as fuck

Agreed.

Yep.

She is an idiot.

The unbelievers of Europe attack the Christians as their political opponents rather than as their religious adversaries; they hate the Christian religion as the opinion of a party much more than as an error of belief; and they reject the clergy less because they are the representatives of the Deity than because they are the allies of government.

In Europe, Christianity has been intimately united to the powers of the earth. Those powers are now in decay, and it is, as it were, buried under their ruins. The living body of religion has been bound down to the dead corpse of superannuated polity; cut but the bonds that restrain it, and it will rise once more. I do not know what could restore the Christian church of Europe to the energy of its earlier days; that power belongs to God alone; but it may be for human policy to leave to faith the full exercise of the strength which it still retains.

So?

Letters don’t govern the US, Simp.

The bottom line is that the Founding Fathers were so concerned about freedom of religion that they made it the first issue in the "Bill of Rights". Democrat fascist administrations like FDR turned the Bill of Rights upside down when they created a separation of church and state that did not exist in the Constitution.

You mean…Any Democrat of the cloth.

CHALLENGE TO ANYONE:

FIND the exact words, 'Separation of Church and State' anywhere in the US Constitution, post it, and post a link to it.
