Seems Trump isn't "2A" like you thought. Guns or weed? Trump administration says you can't have both

You’re talking one of the deepest Blue states in the country. We resist as much as possible but when you have a one-party political system where all three branches are anti-gun in a region of the country that’s the same way, it’s like trying to tunnel through the Great Wall of China with your fingernails.
SCOTUS.

First they came for the immigrants,
and i did not speak out because I was not an immigrant

Then they came for the DC & LA residents,
and i did not speak out because I was not a DC or LA resident

Then they came for the trans and gays,
and i did not speak out because I was not trans or gay

Then they came for the pot smokers,
and i did not speak out because i was not a pot smoker

Then they came for the Liberals,
and i did not speak out because I was not a Liberal

Then they came for me,
and there was no one left to speak for me

(Apologies to Martin Niemöller)

"Immigrants"...lol, you're such a rube.

can we be honest. he infringed on 2A with bumpstocks, and there was the “Take the guns first, go through due process second”
Trump is not pro 2A, heck he is not a Republican for that matter.

Anyone of you have a "marijuana" card, well he is coming for your gun rights. Listen to me when I tell you this, you voted for it and none of this should come as a surprise at all.

WASHINGTON – The Trump administration’s aggressive defense of gun rights has at least one exception.

The government’s lawyers want the Supreme Court to make clear that regular pot smokers – and other drug users − shouldn’t be allowed to own firearms.

An appeals court has said a federal law making it a crime for drug users to have a gun can’t be used against someone based solely on their past drug use.

Limiting the law to blocking the use of guns while a person is high effectively guts the statute that reduces gun violence, the Justice Department told the Supreme Court. It's asking the justices to overturn the appeals court’s decision.

Not my problem. I don 't smoke that shit, I'm keeping my guns, and I'm keeping my President.

They will come for you long before me. I haven't decided if I will speak for you yet. Im leaning towards it but sometimes I think you guys want to be abused.

Illegal drug users are already prohibited from buying guns, dipshit.

It's right there on the 4473 form, question 11e:

First they...

I don't give a **** about "they." "They" are the ones breaking the law, not "me."

And I'm not losing any sleep over "First they" because I doubt we'll see another Democrat administration for a long, long time.

First they lied on the gun application....ask Hunter.
47% of gun owners have used marijuana. I have no dog in the hunt. I dont use drugs. My drug is reading the stupid posts on here.
I would ban many more people from buying guns if up to me. I am surprised you'll take away guns for that but not to protect children. Interesting.

"Have used" is not a disqualifier. Question 21.f on the BATF Form 4473 asks "Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?"

Federal law, toots.
You can challenge it, you can repeal it, but you don't get to ignore it.
Under current rules, anyone who has ever used a controlled substance—even if they’ve turned their life around—faces a permanent ban on owning firearms.

From colonial times through the Gun Control Act of 1968, temporary restrictions existed, but redemption was possible. Now, that relief valve has been effectively shut off.
