Seems Trump isn't "2A" like you thought. Guns or weed? Trump administration says you can't have both

He’s absolutely CORRECT!!!

One of the cardinal principles of firearms ownership is RESPONSIBILITY. Guns and alcohol don’t mix. Guns and prescription narcotics don’t mix. Guns and ANY substance which makes an individual less capable of making life-or-death decisions in a split second DO NOT MIX!!!

It’s just that simple folks. Guns and marijuana are a recipe for disaster.
who is correct

can we be honest. he infringed on 2A with bumpstocks, and there was the “Take the guns first, go through due process second”
Trump is not pro 2A, heck he is not a Republican for that matter.
I've always contended that Trump is a moderate, holding views for both sides of the political spectrum. That's why he won the election.

Trump, in pushing to have anyone with a marijuana card or history of use barred from owning a gun. I’d add anyone with a history of alcoholism or a need for prescription narcotics to the list as well.
yeah so like states that vote Republican Trump will get access to the people that have medical cards and take their guns and rights away and "lock em up" :yes_text12:

MAGAs certainly did not vote for that

Give them a choice… give up the weed card or lose your CCW permit. They can make the choice.

Personally my CCW is worth far more to me than any substance or person around me.

It would compromise ownership and possession of firearms--not just CCW. I am not opposed to it. Intoxicants and firearms really should not be mixed.

Anyone of you have a "marijuana" card, well he is coming for your gun rights. Listen to me when I tell you this, you voted for it and none of this should come as a surprise at all.
Federal law, toots.
You can challenge it, you can repeal it, but you don't get to ignore it.

For some of us the licensing is one and the same. Gotta have a license to possess, purchase,, own or use a firearm in Massachusetts. Proper spray and tasers too

Sounds like MA is "infringing" on the right to "keep and bear arms" with a licensing requirement. How has this not been challenged?

WASHINGTON – The Trump administration’s aggressive defense of gun rights has at least one exception.

The government’s lawyers want the Supreme Court to make clear that regular pot smokers – and other drug users − shouldn’t be allowed to own firearms.

An appeals court has said a federal law making it a crime for drug users to have a gun can’t be used against someone based solely on their past drug use.

Limiting the law to blocking the use of guns while a person is high effectively guts the statute that reduces gun violence, the Justice Department told the Supreme Court. It's asking the justices to overturn the appeals court’s decision.

Illegal drug users are already prohibited from buying guns, dipshit.

It's right there on the 4473 form, question 11e:

I'm a little bit weary of selectively outraged prohibitionists who feel that attempting to manipulate inanimate objects is going to change human behavior.

It's always someone else's pastime, substance or impediment that needs to be banned.

I've taught different shooting skills for over 60 years both in and out of the military and some people are simply dangerous and / or incompetent at any level of sobriety.

How about tormenting an individual AFTER he or she decides to commit a real crime?

Thanks,

I will keep my weed and my firearms, **** Trump and the feds.

You’re talking one of the deepest Blue states in the country. We resist as much as possible but when you have a one-party political system where all three branches are anti-gun in a region of the country that’s the same way, it’s like trying to tunnel through the Great Wall of China with your fingernails.
