Europe, USA, Canada and some others have been getting away from fossil fuels for decades now. Trillions of dollars have been poured into 'energy efficient' appliances and vehicles, into massive wind farms and solar fields, coal plants have been closed down and renewable fuels are in, etc. etc. etc.

All without affecting our climate in ANY noticeable degree.

The only significant effect is resources drained from projects that could have benefitted us much more, loss of effectiveness and efficiency in many case, and reduced liberties, options, choices, opportunities for the people.

At some point people need to start seriously start looking at that and put the brakes on use of resources that benefit nobody other than the very few who are getting rich promoting climate change as some kind of existential threat to humankind.

I don't pretend that adding more than seven billion people to the one billion who populated Planet Earth at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution has made no difference at all, most especially in immediate environments where huge cities have replaced farmland and open country.

But those people with more coming are here to stay and we might as well live with that fact and adapt to adjust to it.
