At present, China produces double the amount of CO2 as the US. However, they have 3 times the population. But they also lead in installing renewable energy. In fact, they are way ahead of their own goals, right now at the level they set for 2030. And as far as the net amount of CO2 that nations have produced since the industrial revolution, no one can compete with the US.

Yes, China needs to reduce the amount of CO2 they produce. However, they are actually making real strides in that direction. In the meantime, we have a doddering senile old fool for a President, that being Trump, and are going the other way.
