Russia Issues Urgent Nuclear War Warning as Doomsday Clock Moves Closest Ever to Midnight, Prompting WHO to Urge Countries to Stockpile Medicines....

Hiding under the desk if the school was obliterated would be useless. However let’s say the nuke hit farther away. Let’s say the aim was off, a common issue through the years. What then?

You would be more protected under your desk from debris, like flying glass than standing and watching. Second. We are human and it is instinctive to look towards the light. But that is exactly what you don’t want to do in a Nuke explosion.

Under the desk useless if you are ground zero. But outside of that it might make the difference between life and death. Or do you view a nuke as a big floating ball of instant death?
After an all out nuclear war if you lived outside the areas totally destroyed, you would likely find yourself back in the Stone Age.

It is quite possible that an EMP would have taken out all electrical power and nuclear reactors would be starting to melt down. You might have a nuclear winter coming because of all the fires and debris in the atmosphere. The police wold likely be unavailable and there would be no way to contact them. Grocery stores would be emptied quickly.

Your best chance to survive would be if you are a survivalist and have stockpiled food, guns and ammo In a secure location or if you have a permit to enter a government super secret bomb shelter.

Keep in mind that just one nuclear bomb can ruin your entire day.

True enough. But to survive that first week, you have to survive the first minute.

In the Army we were trained that when we saw a Nuke Flash to drop down and cover our eyes and ears. Lay down facing the flash.

This wouldn’t do shit if we were ground zero. But it might keep us from being blinded by the flash if we didn’t stare at it. And when the shock wave rolled over us by laying down we presented a smaller target for debris.

Maybe useless. But maybe not. Better than nothing as the saying goes.

As for Survival. Everyone thinks it is about guns and ammo and chow. Beans and bullets. Ok. Here is the scenario. You shoot some people who are looking for food. Everyone in a mile hears your gunshots. They know you have guns. And they know you have something to protect. They know which direction you are in. And how long before there are more of them than you can shoot?

You need a team. An organization. Neighbors who will join and form a defense group. And for chow you need something more than a basement full of cans. You need to be able to grow your food. That means farm tools which work without power.

Medical? Do you have anything for that? Medications? How long before you are down to a Poultice and amputations to try and survive?

Survival is about more than beans and bullets.

What I am saying is the prepared will have a better chance than the unprepared. Obviously that doesn’t mean they will have an easy road. Many Preppers will just be delaying the end for a while.

It seems to me your chances of survival increase as you move farther from the big cities. Even so it will be hard to fortify your shelter against those desperately looking for supplies.

I am not a Prepper, so I am not trying to give advice on survival.

Most of us grew up with Russia threatening nuclear war every day. Mutually assured destruction still applies.
But you guys talk about how cray Putin is.......so yeah keep up the rhetoric. Your hatred of Trump and making lies about him and Russia are totally worth WW3.....

What if Putin is not all there and decides to go out with a big bang? His army may not be as tough as advertised but his nukes may still work.

Hopefully if Putin orders a first strike on Europe or the U.S., his generals will refuse. Or perhaps the space aliens we keep hearing about will intervene and shut the missiles down before launch.

The left are the masters of Unintended Consquences, it happens that when your maturity and intellect are like a middle schooler, you tend to not think things through
