Lots of very successful people grew up without parents for much of their lives. Foster homes are available, too and so are group homes. Foster parents get paid by the state to raise kids.

I knew there were a few states that would make abortion illegal, but I didn’t realize it was twelve.

It seems a reasonable ”compromise” ruling would be to require all states to offer abortion in the first six weeks. That way, if someone got sloppy with birth control or If it is a rare (1%) case of birth control failure, the female still has a few weeks after knowing she’s pregnant to get an abortion.

hard core ' pro lifers ' won't compromise. & 'the first 6 weeks' is actually 4 weeks - at best.

what if the female doesn't know who her attacker is? will she still be able to have one based on her word? guess what is gonna

A good compromise is abortion may be made available up to 6 weeks gestation, after which is up to the state, and NO abortions after 20 weeks unless the mother’s life is in danger.

And far as smaller, less intrusive government, that usually applies at the federal level, as was intended by the Constitution. That’s why rights not specifically given to the federal government automatically reverts to the states.
