Roe vs Wade Is a Bad Ruling

it should be OTC ... but make no mistake - that will be next on the table to outlaw. why? because the medication is designed to stop ovulation from occurring, or the pathway of the little swimmers, or implantation once conception occurs.... & that last one is what the so called 'pro lifers' will focus on, because they literally want to give full personhood status to a zygote.
Day after pill should be free in my personal opinion and can get it at the pharmacy or clinic and if the Pro-Life movement goes after that then I am will fully back the woman right to use that pill.

Adoption is not always the option.

Many parents that want to adopt at times do not want minority babies, so let remember that.

I agree in today time there is no excuse why women and men can not obtain the right birth control to prevent pregnancy.

Personally women should swallow the day after pill and go on with life, and it should be free at any clinic…
  • one day they will have a pill for men.
  • --------------------------------

  • Slow or stop the creation and formation of sperm
  • Stop the sperm from leaving the body
  • Slow down the sperm to keep them from reaching their destination
  • Keep sperm from fertilizing the egg (possibly through a nonhormonal drug)
So far, most tries at this have been injectables, not pills. That's not ideal. Some pills made have the potential to create problems for your liver. You'd have to take others more than once a day -- again, not ideal. And other side effects -- things like acne, weight gain, altered sexual drive, and mood changes -- can happen, too.
Work continues, though. Many researchers are using testosterone, either alone or with other hormones, in their potential contraceptives. These may be closer to the market than other options. But other, nonhormonal methods are in the mix, too.

A study of 82 men in early 2019 determined that a hormone-based pill called dimethandrolone undecanoate (DMAU) was safe when used every day for a month. It also had no serious side effects.

Another promising pill, 11β-MNTDC, was announced in March of 2019.

Trials are ongoing for both.

late term abortions are the rarest of the rare. the rarest of females will 'elect' that termination tactic as a means of ending an unwanted pregnancy because of the cost, risk to her own health, & because she goes so far into gestation- decides one day to just 'end' it.

the overwhelming majority of LTAs occur due to medical reasons - either with the birth mother, the fetus, or both.
Health to the mother and unborn should be allowed at any time no matter when…

Just because you discover you can’t handle the kid or the cost at the end of the pregnancy, well I am truly sorry but that is a living being by then and no can do in my book.

There was zero reasons to kill the fetus because of an issue with the mother, late term. Most were done because of the age of the mothers. Young females hiding the fact they were pregnant. And overturning RvW would likely increase the need later term.

if it's overturned - you'll see more stories like gerry santoro's

So with any luck, when Roe is overturned, we will have the national discussion we should have had 50 years ago.

Good point there. If it wasn't for Roe, the matter would have been resolved politically. The Supreme Court's decision to bypass the people by legalizing the abortuary racket is what causes the liberal venom here.

Compare and contrast with the segregation issue of the 1960's. The GOP got the Civil Rights Act passed, and even though libs like Sleepy Joe complained about "racial jungles", the matter was resolved and people accepted it. Biden et al aren't organizing an annual "March for Jim Crow" as they would if the matter had been legislated by the Supreme Court instead.

Dimethandrolone undecanoate (DMAU), also known by its developmental code name CDB-4521, is an experimental androgen/anabolic steroid (AAS) and progestogen medication which is under development as a potential birth control pill for men.[2][3][4] It is taken by mouth, but can also be given by injection into muscle.[2][3][1]

Side effects of DMAU include mild weight gain and mild decreases in levels of HDL ("good") cholesterol.[5][6] It may also cause low estrogen levels and associated symptoms such as reduced sexual function and decreased bone mineral density.[7][8]

its about time for making a pill for men and they can prevent women from birthing their babies.

texas tried to keep a brain dead pregnant comatose female alive long enough to give birth - despite her husband's wishes.

Just because you discover you can’t handle the kid or the cost at the end of the pregnancy, well I am truly sorry but that is a living being by then and no can do in my book.

'cept your reasons don't belong assigned to anybody but yourself.

don't want or believe in abortion?

then don't have one.

oh wait ... you don't have a uterus? well, then - you're dismissed.

If Roe goes down, each state will decide for itself. At present, half the states will ban abortion if Roe is down. States like California and New York will still allow abortions.
That's not what I am asking.

State preemption usually follows the same as federal preemption as "a state may not pass a law inconsistent with the federal law" and within a state with preemption a county/city can't pass a law that goes against state law.

But we have states with no or limited preemption. Like how some blue population center counties/cities can ban concealed carry while it is perfectly fine to CC in another locale within the same state.

A new birth control pill for men appears to be safe when used daily for a month, with hormone responses consistent with effective contraception, study researchers say. Their study results, in 83 men, will be presented Sunday at ENDO 2018, the Endocrine Society’s 100th annual meeting in Chicago, Ill.

Yeah, and you believe a woman should be allowed to kill the child even after it is born, so you don’t believe a child has a right to life, so fuck you!

After three months a woman usually knows that she is pregnant and like the OP said you have ways to protect yourself, so why the fuck are you so lazy at doing the right things?

Simple, typical trash that does not want to take care of it the day after with a damn pill!

Still it is a subject worth debating daily.

Personally I believe it is a State to State issue that should be regulated at the State level…

Now with that written I also believe a woman should be allow to abort her unborn child because bringing a child into this World with a mother that does not want them is just wrong…

Also in my own opinion I believe the woman would resent the child or abandon the child to be left for the State to take care of…

So personally let her rid herself of the child seeing she is not stable enough to raise and care for the child…
Of course it’s a state to state issue. The original ruling was in violation of the Constitution.

The Leftists are trying to scare the gullible into thinking an overturn would make abortion illegal. All it would do is return the decision to the states.

And states that have very restrictive laws, like Texas? Well, people who fear they might get pregnant accidentally and cannot make up their mind quickly to get an abortion can live elsewhere. If enough people do that, Texas could always reconsider their law and extend the window to, say, 12 weeks.

Because you are 15 and don't want to tell your parents.

Or the woman could just take the morning after pill…

if there is anything that will produce a movement to completely tilt the country to a more (D) / 'liberal' / progressive political leaning ... it will be the overturning of roe v wade.

even if they never have nor never will need the right to choose - females have not known anything other than having that right for almost 50 years.

Hogwash , why do you not take birth control pills??

You keep on thinking that!

So? She can still get an abortion. She just has to act within weeks.

We were discussing why late term abortions happened. Right now she would have to carry the pregnancy to term. If RvW is overturned she will have the option of traveling to a state that allows late term abortions.
