Trump also inherited the Yemen conflict. It was initiated by Saudi Arabia, and both Obama and Trump provided military support, drone strikes for example, but not only. It is not really related to the IS thing, but groups did pop up during the civil war. The main scope of the war is for the Saudis to oppose the Houthis.
