In essence, they are eager to kill an infrastructure proposal that will create millions of jobs, in order to preserve the skimpy corporate tax rate they set in a 2017 law that absolutely bombed with the American public.

It's a loser any way you slice it, starting with the proposition that Americans never liked the GOP's tax giveaway to the wealthy to begin with, and still don't. A series of polls taken around tax time in 2019 found the GOP tax law was consistently underwater and peaked at 40% approval.
Yet this unfortunate piece of Trump-era legislation is indeed where Republicans have planted their flag, in service of maintaining an obscenely low corporate tax rate of 21% when most Americans already believe corporations aren't paying their fair share. In fact, multiple polls have now shown that increasing corporate taxes to help fund Biden's infrastructure package actually makes the plan more popular.

And it worked so well for them on the stimulus bill.

The whole deductability of state and local taxes is indicative of the Republican's sorry ass position. I mean, we allow corporations to deduct the foreign taxes they pay. Why a damn cap? How about we place a cap on the those foreign taxes paid? It was a shallow attempt at punishing blue states and everyone should see it. The Republican party is dead, they should be tossed out on their ass. Anyone, and I mean anyone, that studies even a minimal amount of philosophy can quickly realize that Republicans have completely abandoned any guise of supporting this nation. They support themselves, period. Green and Boebert are not outliers, they ARE the Republican party.

The Republican corporate taxcut was stupid. I mean beyond stupid. It did not result in a bit of investment, it actually contracted the frontier curve. The only thing it did was increase rent seeking. And rent seeking is the great sucking noise you hear on GDP growth and the expansion of the economy.

McConnell is Satan incarnate, Trump was just a symptom of the disease that is the Republican party. Lincoln is rolling over in his grave, I can assure you of that. Reagan is appalled, have no doubt. These people are a disgrace to this nation, and when enough of the moron boomers die off, they will be gone.

They've got nothing left but negatives.

They're trying to do to Biden, what they did to Obama, by obstructing everything, and agreeing only on enough to create an atmosphere of mediocrity, to run out the clock, and win back power. If Biden makes the right moves, and the house and senate continue to work with him. The Democrats can put the Republicans on the back burner permanently on the national scale. It will take longer to win back enough of the states, but except for a small hand full, they are moving blue, not red, and it is not that long into the future, that the dems will turn one of the biggest electoral college vote red states purple, then blue, and the free-dumb caucus assholes of the right are done.

Where are all of the corporations going after thart? China? Russia? Saudi Arabia?

The simple fact is, the tax, and regulatory setbacks that started with the Reagan administration, have always been on borrowed time from the very beginning.

Nothing in their Bill has to do with “infrastructure”, it’s all bullshit as usual.

Biden spent 45 years in Washington and did nothing to protect US manufacturing and jobs. He supported every terrible trade deal, and only helped banks circumvent taxes in Delaware.

Yes! If the leftists are only allowed to spend billions of dollars will will get mediocrity. If we let them spend gazzillions we will achieve greatness!

Not new for the party that cares more about owning liberals and democrats than legislating for the good of the country. Just more obstructionist politics, even when they write of sponsor the bill.

Republicans have spent the week blocking their own agenda in Congress in an attempt to "own the libs."
They threw a wrench in a bipartisan bill to counter China and in a tech antitrust report.
This is the kind of foolishness you see when a party has no ambition beyond making clips for Fox News

Obscenely low? You lying propagandist will just never quit. The US corporate tax rate is currently in the middle of developed countries, that's not obscenely low. xiden is pushing to make it the highest, again. They will cost the US jobs.

'Infrastructure'?

Democrats have labeled every Socialist agenda wish list item 'infrastructure, so stop the propaganda crap.

Barry was forced to admit there are no 'shovel ready' projects.

The Democrats have passed TRILLIONS of deficit dollars in 'COVID-19' relief bills...and 90+ percent of that money went to Socialist agenda wish list items...and they haven't spent half of the money from the 1st bill passed.

Joe's 'Jobs Program'?

In his 1st days in office he put thousands of Americans across the country out of work.

Democrats put hundreds of thousands of Americans out of work by destroying more than half of all minority-owned small businesses.

So again, spare us the socialist liberal Democrat BS and propaganda
