Then you would agree that if Biden’s next budget proposes removing the current 160k cap on SS and NOT increasing the benefit, he is raising taxes 6-12% on those making above 160k? By your very definition, NOT the rich.
BTW, working folks making 400k/yr are paying far more than their fair share. That is not the income level that has a team of accountants working to find obscure loopholes. A surgeon, for example, making 400k per year pays plenty of taxes and certainly at least his/her fair share.
The only argument you envious folks have regarding the “rich” not paying their fair share, is perhaps trust fund baby types that live on capital gains taxes, which are less than standard income taxes for the same “income“ level. Ironically enough, there are plenty of woke Democrats that fall into this category.
