Rent is skyrocketing in Vegas

few new housing units being built?...you havent been here in a while have you?...no affordable housing?....the new homes being built out here all seem to be occupied....and there are quit a few new homes being built.....Las Vegas is more than just the Strip area....
Yep...everytime we come over the "hump", the construction gets closer and closer to the Red Rock/Blue Diamond turn off.

Yes.

I follow a number of markets, including Vegas.

In Vegas right now, all that + full cash ask + 10%/20% cash premium; the ordinary person is barred from owning & is forced to rent in an impossible market.

If one can work from home after moving to Bumfuck, South Dakota, perhaps.
So, you don't think a red state like South Dakota is a good place to live now? How telling.

How soon? Make a fun prediction for us..............unless you are full of shiite.
Soon unless a miracle happens; the new mandates/lockdowns, if leading to an extension of the illegal CDC moratorium, will stave off the inevitable for awhile, but will create greater problems while doing so. See previous comment.

No. Why don't you attempt to disprove what you believe false?

Las Vegas has 238 active new home projects on the market, 10.9% fewer than the 267 from last year. The average list price in the market is $410,485, 0.4% higher than last year and 27.7% above the national average. Over the last three months, new home contracts increased by 0.3% to 2,806.
