Remember That "Affordability Crisis" Under Trump?

Inflation is right back where it was when Trump was sworn in.

You must be so proud.

Again, you can't fool anyone who pays the bills. No matter how hard you try. You just look stupid.
Then start paying the bills. I'm not paying as much, thank you Trump.

Shove your stats. We replaced good wage manufacturing with a huge government and massive social programs. Manufacturing gives a much better ang for the dollar to the economy. We nearly destroyed our auto and steel industries from overreaching unions who had the nation by the cajones. We did the same thing with our tech, TV, Radios, Stereo's, etc. Most were sold off closer to 40 years ago. And we made government larger and larger. Tell us what we produce with government employment. Cities and states have raised taxes and fees into the stratosphere since then. Detroit and other cities were jewels. The rust belt extended like Sherman's March to the Sea. The thing is, that we depend on foreign nations more and more for much of our comforts. And we are growing foreign economies with our wealth so many here can live like sloths. All of this money for poverty and we still have it. And according to commercials there are kids going to ed hungry. They were the same type of stats you had you started all of the social engineering.

I am right youre changing the subject to unemployment. Its still the Biden economy in many ways. Looking to the future the economy will do well under Trump. It couldnt have been worse under Biden which you never complained about. So its not facts that motivate you its who you can blame

Unemployment isn't important to you?

Listen. Last year the economy was great. The only people hurting were uneducated blue collar workers. That's how Trump won. He told them he would bring prices down.

Prices were already coming down. Inflation was getting under control. How? One way was the Feds raised interest rates. Trump wanted to lower interest rates which would have caused inflation again. Good thing the Feds didn't listen to Donald or inflation would be worse than it is now.

Trump's policies are why prices have gone up. You can't avoid that. So congrats inflation isn't as bad as they predicted a couple months ago. That's still a loss. And this ain't Biden's economy. You passed the BBB right? You guys shut the government down and it's back up and running against right? What has Mike Johnson done to fix the economy?

You could have at least blamed all the high unemployment rate on government layoffs. But what about the fact companies aren't hiring? They are sitting tight to see what stupid thing Trump's going to do next. No one makes long term decisions when Trump can change his mind tomorrow and then again on Monday.

There was no problem 40 years ago. The only ones who had a problem with the unions were the corporations. They pay the GOP good money to attack the unions as they got Reagan to invent NAFTA. Yes Reagan invented NAFTA. Why? Because American workers cut too much into the profits. I could pick any year. 1998, 1997, etc. Every year before Republicans took over, these were the headlines that made America great.

In 1999, Detroit's Big Three automakers saw record or near-record profit-sharing for hourly workers, with Chrysler paying out a then-record $8,100, Ford averaging a record $8,000, and GM paying its biggest-ever bonus of $1,775

Bullshit. Five dozen eggs cost me 9.99. Under Biden, more than $30.

The Labor Department released a report on Thursday showing first-time claims for U.S. unemployment benefits unexpectedly fell to a three-year low in the week ended November 29th.\

The report said initial jobless claims slid to 191,000, a decrease of 27,000 from the previous week's revised level of 218,000.

Economist had expected jobless claims to rise to 220,000 from the 216,000 originally reported for the previous week.

With the unexpected decline, jobless claims dropped to their lowest level since hitting 189,000 in the week ended September 24, 2022.

Price increases are the result of Bidens inflation but are now coming down under Trump

Well, now, CNN is admitting that prices have actually been in check under Trump all along. Add to that the fact that we have had record Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sales, even though everything is so "unaffordable" and Americans have to stand in soup lines. But, CNN is warning us that that could possiblly all end next July.

When President Donald Trump introduced his “Liberation Day” tariffs in April, many economists predicted Americans would soon experience massive price increases. While inflation has ticked up in the eight months that passed, it’s been nowhere near levels initially projected.

While they have been a moving target, President Donald Trump's tariffs have raised the cost of building a new house.

"The new tariffs could increase builder costs anywhere from $7,500 to $10,000 per home," Rob Dietz, chief economist at the National Association of Home Builders told CNBC, citing estimates from U.S. homebuilders. Last year, the NAHB estimated that every $1,000 increase in the median price of a new home prices out roughly 106,000 potential buyers.

In some cases, Home Depot can simply mitigate the tariff-related price increases by not offering as many discounts.

"If you think about our job, which is to help impact some of the tariff pressure, being a little less promotional in a couple of those garden areas was just the nature of what we did in Q2. And so again, 4 of those 5 categories that we saw an impact from were related to some of the lower-ticket garden projects," he shared during the chain's second-quarter earnings call.

Lowe's CFO Brandon Sink talked about how tariffs impacted his company's inventory.

"Inventory ended Q3 at $17.2 billion, down approximately $400 million versus prior year. This net decrease also reflects the inclusion of inventory from recent acquisitions of approximately $600 million and higher tariffs," he shared during Lowe's third-quarter earnings call.

"Canadian lumber had climbed 14.5%. Concrete prices jumped 8%. Household appliances were expected to rise by as much as 20%. Suddenly, the question wasn’t how to build affordably — it was whether starter homes could be built profitably at all,"

I noticed you did not include a link. Probably hoping we would not see this:

"Initial claims can be subject to big swings at this time of the year, so we won't read much into one week's number," Nancy Vanden Houten, Lead U.S. Economist at Oxford Economics.

You really should stop lying. You totally suck at it.

Posts 10, 11, and 12 debunked you before you pulled a single lying syllable out of your ass.

Inflation is slowing and many cost have dropped. The high cost of anything was caused by Bidens inflation

The blowhard is in denial, and only his cult is swallowing his crap.

Trump has said drug prices are falling by as much as 1,500 percent, a mathematical impossibility. He has declared himself “the affordability president,” while dismissing the affordability issue as “a con job by the Democrats.”
... He has predicted that gas prices, which now hover around $3 a gallon, will plummet to $2. He has promised Americans $2,000 refund checks from the revenue raised by tariffs. He has suggested that “in the not-too-distant future,” no one will have to pay income tax.
This flurry of sometimes extravagant claims comes amid a growing Republican fear, fueled by recent election results, that high prices could set the stage for a Democratic sweep in next year’s midterms. So far, there is little evidence that Trump’s urgent attempt to shift the economic storyline is working.
“Any Republican who refuses to admit we have an affordability problem is not listening to the American people,” former House speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Georgia) said...

Poll: Trump's own voters begin blaming him for affordability crisis

Americans continue to say affordability is out of control, and they place the responsibility on Trump,

Fake ******* news.

You do know today making $80,000 is like making $60k last year. I mean if you were to go buy a car, appliances, 20% down payment on a home, the furniture to put in the home, the lights for the Xmas tree, etc.

Trump tariffed everything 10-15% some things more. You can cherry pick and give fake numbers all you want boomer.

Even if it’s made in USA the ingredients are purchased from India, China, Brazil. Oh you maga man you

The degenerate blowhard can't be weened off those tariffs.

MSN
...U.S. manufacturing has now contracted for the ninth consecutive month during the Trump administration, a decline that most manufacturers have attributed to unpredictability and the cost of tariffs.

I guess that's why only 26% of Americans say the economy is doing well.

They’re reflecting on the residual effect of the previous democrat faux administration’s energy and money-printing policies. Even if they’re too stupid to know it.
What’s your excuse?

Democrats are LIARS of the first order. This 'affordability' nonsense is just their most recent LIE. They will beat it to death in the Dem propaganda media then conjure up a new lie.

More hilarious, Democrats think we should just forget the recent 4 years of the Dem regime's policies fueling historic inflation that hurt everyone.

15th post
Weve had an affordability issue for a long long time. Its an irrefutable fact. It just didnt start this year. We ate somehow told falsely of course, that if wages for a large group of people rise, thats a problem. But its ok when ceo wages rise bigly but the workers they employ cause inflation when their wages go up. It is laughable at best.

Because the effects are lagging.

We aren't going to hope or pray our way around the mathematics.

This level of brainwashing is impressive.

Prices are down 1800000%
