Remember “No Tax on Overtime”?

I certainly would hope for overtime people it was all the money they make past 40 hours but that's not how the law was written.

That being said, I work between 60-70 hours a week without any overtime as I am overtime exempt as an OTR driver, so I can't sympathize too much.

Then it shouldn’t be a problem to post it again, little boy.

Unless youre lying which, of course, you are sonny.
Here’s the law, been public since July

Here’s the law defining OT, that the law refers to, it’s been public since the 1930s

What you have displayed in this thread is not just your ignorance to current events and laws, but highlighted how you’ve never actually worked a hourly wage and knew what OT is.

Unsurprising, given your politics

And it was sold as “no tax on overtime”. Not “no tax on part of your overtime”.

Hence the lie your blob told, repeateedly....little boy.

And it is no tax on overtime

The fact you didn’t or don’t know what overtime is, well, very telling

It’s the overtime only thats not taxed not base pay. Thats what was said all along. Your lack of understanding doesnt make anyone a liar. It makes you an idiot
Wrong. Your base base is 40 hours

Work 41 hours and you pay the same tax rate on all of it.

What you don’t pay is tax on the “1/2” part of time and a half

This will save you whatever tax you pay on a HALF hour

Pennies

It’s actually “no tax on 1/3 of your OT” if you make time and a half

In the meantime, the blue states are REVERSING the no tax on overtime and making their citizens add the exempted amount back in for the state return.

So on one hand, you’re upset that only PART of overtime rate is exempt, but on the other, Democrats are legislating that ALL of it is taxable on state returns.

No it’s no tax on OT. You, again, unsurprisingly don’t know what OT is.

Are you really that stupid?

It has been explained to you numerous times.

It is NOT tax free on every dollar you make in OT.

Only the “1/2” part of time and a half

Are you seriously this stupid?

Base pay and overtime are two different payments. Only over time is tax free just as was stated. That was too complicated for you to understand

Base overtime wage should be 2x, not 1.5.

That’s your opinion only, and meaningless. Maybe businesses can’t afford double pay, and then people lose their jobs altogether.

Dont hire then. Proble. Solved. A shrinking labor force is not a bad thing.
