Religion is constantly questioned.

No it isn't. It is off limits when it comes to our politicians, work, social gatherings, etc etc... it's publicly taboo to question religious beliefs, and that's a fact. And it is that way precisely because of people like you, who degenerate into quivering little blobs of anger if anyone DARES question your voodoo.. So instead of pretending the taboo doesn't exist, just take credit for it, as you should.

It's not off-limits, some people are just touchy about their beliefs or lack thereof. People are the same way about politics, in fact. It's also not so much "Because of people like you", it's actually because some people are more hostile about those who disagree with them, like you for instance, who hopped into this thread to throw shade at anyone who doesn't believe the universe created itself through no influence from anything. You know, because you believe anyone who doesn't fall into lock-step with you and your militant atheist buddies is a total fool.

It absolutely is off limits. That's why reporters didn't ask Romney about his insane beliefs. That's why it is a protected idea. Trying to hire a doctor into your practice, and you find out he rejects the basis of all biology and medicine -- evolution -- because of goofy religious beliefs? Can't discriminate against him for it, because it's against the law.

Hardly, reporters exploited Sanders being Jewish and Romney being Mormon. It's not a protected idea, as it has been debated about from the very beginning. The difference here is that people don't discuss religion or politics if they want to get along with everyone, as some people wouldn't be okay with, say, a militant atheist calling their beliefs goofy. Of course, I'm probably wasting my time, since I'm arguing with someone that's disappointed that religious people aren't discriminated against enough by the media.

You're further proving my point, as you just threw more shade. You're showing us that it's not religious people that have a problem with other beliefs, but the militant atheists like yourself attacking them for not lock-stepping with you.

What does this have to do with my op? Science is based on evidence and is the opposite of stupidity...If anything the fact that people use religion to attack science is the real stupidity and ignorance.
