Reagan's Childhood Home Being Demolished

Despite persistent rumors, university officials have repeatedly said the site will not be used for a Barack Obama presidential library.

Does this sound like a slap in the face to the memory of Ronald Reagan? Would this building be torn down if it was the childhood home of FDR?

You must remember that Chicago won't tolerate anything conservative and thats why they have a massive crime rate and so much debt. I remember when they founded the Milton Friedman Institute for Research in Economics but the liberal outcry in academia was s harsh that it lasted only two years and they changed the name to the Becker Friedman Institute for Research in Economics. Anyway, the answer to your question is no.

He lived there for a year as a toddler. What's the big deal? Are you willing for the government to spend the money to preserve every, single, solitary house every President in history lived in, no matter how briefly?

For instance, Reagan's former home in Pacific Palisades, CA is currently for sale. The asking price is $5 million. You want the tax payers to buy it too?

How thoughtful of FOX to include this sentence at the very end of your link:

"....Despite persistent rumors, university officials have repeatedly said the site will not be used for a Barack Obama presidential library...."

Yeah...persistant rumors generated by nobody else but FOX and their downstream mouthpieces. The University has refuted it over and over again, yet FOX couldn't resist one more chance to put the lie out there.

Because 80% of Obama's debt is a result of W's feckups....

Reagan had several such places, none of any interest. Great story. His best acting was as president. Horrible legacy. See sig pp1 and the Pub Propaganda machine...

Why don't you become an activist and seek to save this historical building then?

If the MARKET has spoken, then you need to speak more loudly by getting enough money to buy that property to save it.

Put up a plaque that says Ron Reagan slept here

Reminds me of the middle class that has been destroyed as a direct result of Ronnies policies.
