I wouldn't have believed it possible. I'm finding more good 'I wanna humpya' Music from the country Genre than ever before.
If you like:
Vandross, White, Gill, McKnight, and Braxton, check out country artists. Here are just TWO examples of recent songs which exactly speak to my ideals of love and relationships and 'gettin' it on'. I can't imagine being in a relationship with the kind of attraction and love and passion of Sara's song. (Yes - I see the double-negatives in the lyric.) I guess I can imagine it - I've lived it once, but that's for another show. Regardless, here:
Sara Evans:
The Secrets We Keep
Across a crowded room
I can't keep my eyes off you
You take my breath away
Looking at me now
I know what you are thinking about
You are thinking about the way
You woke me up this morning and made sweet love to me
Chorus
Oh baby
I love the way you touch me
You know my body so well
You do much more to love me
Til I'm overwhelmed
Wrapped up inside of you is where I want to be
Because no body knows
No body knows
No body knows the secrets that we keep
Once we get inside these four walls
All the hesitation falls
We can't wait no more
As you help me get undressed you don't have to guess
Baby you know what I want
I want to love you til the sun comes up
Til I am sure you are satisfied
Chorus Out
Billy Currington:
"Must Be Doin' Somethin' Right"
A woman is a myst'ry
A man just can't understand
Sometimes all it takes to please her
Is the touch of your hand
And other times you gotta take it slow
And hold her all night long
Heaven knows there's so many ways
A man can go wrong
Chorus
Must be doin' somethin' right
I just heard you sigh
You lean into my kiss and close
Those deep blue 'need you' eyes
Don't know what I did
To earn a love like this, but
Baby, I
Must be doin' somethin' right
Anywhere you wanna go
Baby, show me the way
I'm open to suggestions
Mmm, whatever you say
Tonight's about givin' you what you want
Whatever it takes
Girl, I hope I'm on the right road
Judgin' by the smile on your face
Chorus Out
