Zone1 Question for Christians.

Are you sure a God who can't make himself clear to one person he is speaking to is worthy of being worshipped? I set the bar for Godship a little higher than that.
I'm pretty sure a God that I could adequately describe and/or order around and/or dictate how He must do anything in order to be a God would not be much of a God. The God I worship is very much God.

Maybe you haven't been listening for him. Maybe you don't understand worship. Life isn't fair. Expect to make sacrifices. He did.
Got nothing to do with what I might have been listening to. My response was to foxfire who said God's direct revelation was misunderstood. If that is true, then God sucks when it comes to communicating what he obviously wants us to know.

Who said anything about ordering God around? Basic communication skills would be a minimum requirement for a God that didn't suck.

I don't presume to tell God what his minimum requirements must be. That's way above my pay grade.

I wouldn't presume to tell any God what to do. I only know any god that can't clearly make what he is saying understood doesn't meet my standard for an acceptable God.

I think we mortals are most likely very foolish to assume we can make any standard for what is acceptable to be God.

It has everything to do with it. You're an idiot.

I am the only one qualified to set my personal standard for acceptability.
Really? Most standards exist for logical reasons. Do you use coin flips instead?

Sorry, but you don't have a vote for my personal standards.

Your choice. I would be remiss, however if I didn't advise you that it is well reported that it generally does not go well with those who presume authority that belongs to God.

First I don't know of any preachers who claim God told them who will win the 2024 election. So I sort of question the premise of the OP in the first place if that is actually the question you're asking of Christians.

really ...

“And I believe the Lord’s gonna give him another term. I believe it because… the Lord wants it. ‘Cause the Lord wants it,” he went on, explaining that “I am commissioned by God to do this today. I had three dreams in one night.”

you must live in a cave - who else is supporting trump than rabid evangelicals. trump, the heartbeat of christianity.

No one can deny that Christian leaders have taken a larger role in politics over the last several years. Whether that is a good or bad thing covers a wide range of subjects and is not what this thread is about. I just have one question that can be better answered by someone who at least has a working knowledge of the Bible

Prophets in the Bible are generally highly revered. For those that believe in the God of the Bible, receiving direct specific knowledge from God deserves respect. However, even back then, it was known that unscrupulous people might claim God told them something when he didn't. That's why anyone claiming to have a prophecy was held to a high and severe standard. Giving false prophecy that didn't actually occur was grounds for death. Falsely claiming authority of God's knowledge was not tolerated. Obviously, today, we don't kill false prophets, but is there anything in the Bible that says false prophecy should be taken lightly? If a prominent religious leader claims God told him something, and it doesn't happen as claimed, should he maintain his standing in the Christian community?
Most (90%) of Bible prophecy was meant for the End Time. So naturally, it didn't occur in the prophets lifetime.

And another matter, A PROPHET IS NOT A SOOTHSAYER.

Prophets were called by God OVERWHELMINGLY, to call the people to REPENTANCE.

THIS is occuring TODAY. The response by people like yourself is to MOCK AND RIDICULE. But the prophet has done his job. You hav been warned

A prophet and an evangelist are two different jobs. A prophet's only job is to pass along specific information about a specific event that was gained through direct contact with God, and that was not shared with everybody else. You don't understand that distinction? It's become obvious that many here will willingly make shit up to justify their beliefs, instead of just going by what the Bible says.

I didn't say anything about an evangelists. I know FAR MORE than you do. Your "traps" don't work on me
