Zone1 Question for Christians.

Prophesy has a long and important place in Christianity. I'm asking about those that claim God told them something was going to happen at this time, but it doesn't happen. Should we assume God was mistaken, or perhaps lying, or is that false prophet claiming the authority of God's word for personal gain? Should a person like that maintain their position of prominence in the Christian community?
How could God be wrong or lie? A false prophet is a liar of his own accord.

Why would a Christian hold any such person in a position of prominence?

The fact remains that today's Christianity is what we deal with. I just occasionally ask for clarification when today's practices don't seem to match what the Bible teaches.
You have yet to give an example of what you are referring to.

Odd that there has been so little interest in answering the question from Christians here. I expected they would have been eager to explain how their religion works. Can't get many converts if you can't answer simple questions. Do you want to disappoint Jesus?

Fly by night churches and “televangelists” are quacks and not real Christians.

I have no idea why. I was hoping Christians here might explain why such a wide range of their leaders are still in their positions.

Pat Robertson isn’t a Christian leader of mine. I never once listened to him.

I don’t know who any of them are, hence why I am not part of their denominations. They are certainly better than non-believers, atheists, Muslims, Jews etc.

Millions of Christians have.
Millions of “Christians” also believe abortion is a “right” and that homosexuals can get “married”.

It’s borderline heresy and paganism.

Are you a Christian? Do you believe a false prophet should be tolerated?

Yes I am. Again, which of them is a “false prophet”. You have yet to cite an actual example.

This thread isn't about abortion or homosexuality unless you claim God gave you specific information about them that he didn't tell anyone else.

Instead of linking a video, quote the actual “prophesy”. I watched the first few minutes and all he did was talk about possible end times, he also said no one but the Father would know the hour.

Sorry. I'm not gonna deal with nitpicking right now.

Oh of course not, you certainly wouldn’t want to talk about that.

The idea of this thread is to just attack Christianity.
