Zone1 Question for Christians.

No, I believe that communion is a special event in the life of Christians and to miss it is to miss a blessing.
Only...I didn't miss it.
We don't have any restrictions on it, seeing no need to prevent Christians from experiencing it in fellowship with the Body. If they take it in the morning at their home church and again at another church in the evening meeting, they're free to do so. There's no Biblical reason to prevent them.
Cite the Bible verse(s) that indicate this ever happened.

Only...I didn't miss it.
If I have an opportunity to participate in communion and pass it up, I certainly miss out. The Bible does not say I can't celebrate the Last Supper with two different groups in the same day.

Uhh, I said "WE" don't have restrictions on it. "WE" are not living in the time the Bible was written, so what exactly are you talking about? If you're talking about Biblical restrictions on how often you can take communion, show me where in the Bible it's commanded.

God no longer speaks to mankind through prophets, "Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers (ancestors) by the prophets, but in these last days (which began when Jesus ascended into heaven after His sacrifice -- Acts 1 and 2).........has spoken to us by His Son (Jesus Christ, not Joe Smith, not Muhammad...etc), whom He (God) appointed heir of all things......." -- Hebrews1:1-2

Anyone that claims to be a prophet of God today........or God's representative on earth.............is a lying dog.

God spoke to our fathers (ancestors) by the prophets,

why not somewhere else than in back allies where what is spoken in heard by everyone and not just by people pandering for attention.

Question? What part of many times and in VARIOUS ways.........did you fail to read and comprehend? Its only you declaring prophets spoke only in BACK ALLIES. The scriptures do not.
:dunno:
How to validate a true prophet of God during the days of prophecy...........there a was litmus test to confirm those who actually spoke God's wisdom (Deut.18:20-22), ".........when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the Lord has not spoken, the prophet has spoken it presumptuously (over stepping your authority by personal opinion)........EXAMPLE: MSM, Harris is leading in all the poles and will take all the swing states and Iowa........the results prove these PROPHECIES false. On the other hand there are over 2000 examples of FULFILLED PROPHECIES.......easy to document by book, chapter and verse.

not the self proclaimed prophets speaking to others that is their obsession, clyde -

... rather the heavens speaking only to them in back corners while only they were present. abraham and moses the liars false commandments, hereditary idolatry - are examples jesus used in their heavenly repudiation of judaism.

No one can deny that Christian leaders have taken a larger role in politics over the last several years. Whether that is a good or bad thing covers a wide range of subjects and is not what this thread is about. I just have one question that can be better answered by someone who at least has a working knowledge of the Bible

Prophets in the Bible are generally highly revered. For those that believe in the God of the Bible, receiving direct specific knowledge from God deserves respect. However, even back then, it was known that unscrupulous people might claim God told them something when he didn't. That's why anyone claiming to have a prophecy was held to a high and severe standard. Giving false prophecy that didn't actually occur was grounds for death. Falsely claiming authority of God's knowledge was not tolerated. Obviously, today, we don't kill false prophets, but is there anything in the Bible that says false prophecy should be taken lightly? If a prominent religious leader claims God told him something, and it doesn't happen as claimed, should he maintain his standing in the Christian community?

These verses will clear up some of your questions
See Deuteronomy !8: 22
Deuteronomy 18:19
Deuteronomy 18:20
John 1:18
1 Thessalonians 5:20
1 Thessalonians 5:21
1 Thessalonians 5:22

Jer 23:21-27 (NKJV) "I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran. I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
But if they had stood in My counsel, And had caused My people to hear My words, Then they would have turned them from their evil way And the evil of their doings.
"Am I a God near at hand," says the Lord, "And not a God afar off?
Can anyone hide himself in secret places, So I shall not see him?" says the Lord; "Do I not fill heaven and earth?" says the Lord.
"I have heard what the prophets have said who prophesy lies in My name, saying, 'I have dreamed, I have dreamed!'
How long will this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies? Indeed they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart,
who try to make My people forget My name by their dreams which everyone tells his neighbor, as their fathers forgot My name for Baal.

Luke 10:16 (NKJV) He who hears you hears Me, rejects you rejects Me, and rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me."
