Punishment of sinners in Hell are forever because God is infinitely good.

if mankind is only out for his personal self, as he always has been, then his society will come to a hellish ruin and since mankind has always been the destroyer of anothers worlds, ie ww wars etc.., then if we don't evolve as a species to look out for all as if our lives depended upon it, we will keep repeating history painfully. If we don't change then this hell will repeat for ever more

God is perfectly good meaning God is also perfectly just. The perfect justice of God leads Him perfectly judging all sinners for their sins. Sins are crimes done against God, an infinitely good and holy being. Crimes against an infinite God are infinite in nature and the punishments for infinite sins are necessarily infinite. Therefore, sinners are punished by God in Hell, which is forever.

No just being would apply an infinite punishment for a temporary infraction.

God is infinite in status as Sovereign. All crimes committed against an infinite Sovereign are by definition crimes of infinite magnitude. The sentences for crimes of infinite magnitude, as judged by a perfectly just God, necessarily have to be punishments that are infinite in their nature. Therefore, sinners are justly punished by infinite sufferings that last forever in Hell.

When Jonathan Edwards preached that sermon it was said people were crying out in utter horror as the fear of the LORD hit the congregation. It's quite a testimony to the power of the Gospel when it is preached under the power of the Holy Spirit. I had a copy of that sermon in a small booklet.

It's a lot more scary because Edward's description and imagery is only a faint shadow of the reality of Hell. It's impossible for all living on earth to imagine sinners forever suffering in Hell.

Not really, Max. You see there are quite a few people who the LORD has shown hell to in visions - prayer meetings - experiences of having been in an accident died and saw it and the LORD permitted them to be revived while on hospital gurney - etc. Jesus Christ has given many opportunities for the world to know the reality of hell and just how horrific it is. Every generation - it seems has been given the opportunity as John Bunyan had visions of hell also and warned his own generation - later his book was turned into a video and people can view it on you tube.

Imagine that you're watching a movie on TV. Now, imagine the movie as reality for you. You are living in the movie. Multiply the change in how you experience the movie by 1000 times. The movie also goes on forever. That's close to the reality of Hell.

The reality of hell should make believers desperate for souls of the lost. That is what Christ came for - to save the souls of mankind. Whosoever calls upon the name of the LORD shall be saved. Think of how grateful we should be to be saved from hell! All because of what Jesus Christ did at the cross for us!!!!!

Ever since Adam's fall, humans no longer live inside God's realm. We are living outside God's realm (we can only make our return through Christ). In front of God's Law, no one can be righteous when put outside God's realm, especial when it is said that Satan is the god of our realm. We are thus all sinners in terms of God's Law.

God's is completely incompatible with sin. That's actually why Adam needs to be driven out of Eden. We as Adam's offspring and as sinners (Law breakers) shouldn't be brought to God's realm again. If law breakers should be brought inside God's realm, then it's no point to drive Adam (the sinner) out. However, God didn't abandon us. He sent Jesus to atone for our sins thus we still have a chance to make our return to God's realm. God did so out of love of us sinners. "World" thus means us sinners. In the end, some of us (His Elect) will still be deemed righteous in the eyes of God (but not in front of Law). Some others, however will be deemed wicked, and there will be no return for them once stepping out of planet earth. No more Grace will be given once stepping out of planet earth, as Jesus Christ will not be put to disgrace the second time.

God is completely incompatible with sin that He will bear with human sin but not beyond the Final Judgment, as bearing with human sin is His pain. After the Final Judgment, the wicked will be put to a permanent separation from God. God's omnipotence can cut off His knowledge about the wicked. In such a permanent separation, the only way the wicked can go is to become evil due to the lack of guidance from God who is the only source of good in the universe. Given time, one will be as evil as Satan himself. Then whatever consequences may come.

Er! I would rather there was no God than he punished even the worst human being for all eternity,
In fact such a God would be a monster that we should despise, and unite to try to destroy him.
No person worth his spit would worship such a God.
Power corrupts....Absolute Power corrupts absolutely....the gods are corrupt.

It's impossible for all living on earth to simply comprehend God. If he/she/it exists at all.

No, it isn't. The bible teaches us that we can have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. What do you think we were created for, Mr. H? To know God and to enjoy His fellowship! To share His Son with others so they can also know Jesus Christ and have their sins washed away and forgiven. You cannot enter the kingdom of heaven unless you have been born again.

Can you imagine someone marrying their wife and then saying we're married but you cannot talk to me or know me because I am not able to be known. It would be ridiculous right? Yes. It would be. Christ has come for His bride. A bride is in intimate communion and union with her Beloved Groom. Those who are born again are part of the Bride of Christ. It is what the Song of Solomon is all about.

There is a fallacy in his statement. Let me point it out to you.

"It's impossible for all living on earth to simply comprehend God."

1) God is an infinite being.
2) Humans are finite beings.
3) It's impossible for finite beings to comprehend an infinite being (False Statement).

(True Statement) Finite beings cannot 'fully' comprehend an infinite being.

I was waiting to sense the anointing come on him - it happened at about the 10:17 marker and keeps going 10:20 and then it comes again at about 10:25 - 10:27 and it is tangible. Check it for yourself. Go to about 10:10 and wait for it and you'll sense the presence of God coming in around 10:17 time marker on the video - then it comes again and I haven't watched the whole video yet but needed to comment on that, Max.

It's an anointed message but when the Spirit of God shows up and begins to empower the Word - to come along side and CONFIRM the Word - ..............THAT is when the Power of God shows up to convert the souls of men. THAT is what we need. We have to have the anointing to show up and confirm the Word.

I've heard preachers preach that preached a perfect message but the anointing never showed up. Why? Sin in their life. It's awful but it happens. Too often.

You need to listen to every single word and realize that the LORD has a message TODAY. Today is the day of Salvation! TODAY! There are people on this board - I think that for some it may be their last chance! They need to listen to this sermon and MAKE UP THEIR MIND! Because God is not mocked! Whatsoever a man sows that shall he reap. (or she) If we neglect so great a salvation what other hope is there? NONE!

Do any of you know if you'll wake up tomorrow morning? NO! Ten thousand times! No! You do not! You need to repent of your wickedness RIGHT NOW and get right with God! Today is the day of Salvation! TODAY. DO NOT WAIT. DO IT RIGHT NOW. PRAY WITH THE PASTOR ON THIS VIDEO AND GIVE YOUR LIVES TO JESUS CHRIST RIGHT THIS SECOND. DO IT NOW. DON'T WAIT. DON'T WAIT FOR THE DEVIL TO TALK YOU OUT OF IT. DO IT NOW!

He said Jesus Christ preached more on hell than anyone else in the bible. That is the truth. So if we are to follow the example of Jesus Christ and walk as He did - then why are preachers not preaching about hell today? Why are Christians not warning about hell today? There is only one reason. They are not Abiding in Christ and His Word is not abiding in them. For if it were? The Word of God would be like a fire shut up in their bones and they would be preaching like this Preacher is!
Jesus said, If you deny me before men I will deny you before the Father. Do not deny Jesus Christ before men by refusing to preach what Jesus preached. Obey God and do not even consider the consequences. It does not matter what obstacles you face. OBEY GOD.

YOU, YES YOU, need Jesus TODAY!

What..? I think your warrior god YAHWEH does not practice what he preaches. THOU SHALT NOT MURDER.

The contradiction between the command to not murder and the same God commanding Moses to kill everybody during the conquest of the holy land can either mean that God is capricious and insane or the command to not murder has nothing whatever to do with not killing as in self defense or warfare..

When Jesus said of Satan that "He was a murderer from the beginning", he was not saying that Satan is a killer of the physical body as in the literal definition of murder but it was a reference to the story of Adam and Eve where Satan tricked them into defying the command of God to abstain from eating the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil even though God promised that they would die in the very day that they ate of it. When they ate of it they did not die physical deaths but something did happen that was in many ways more terrible than a physical death, they were expelled from the sanctuary of God, lost the ability to be rational, became aware of their nakedness and shame, and were condemned to return to the dust from which they were taken, living among the wild beasts, and the sweat of their brow, thinking, would only produce thorns and thistles for the rest of their days.

The laws of God to not worship anything made by human hands, to not murder, to not perjure oneself in the name of God, to refrain from eating the flesh of anything that crawls on its belly, etc., etc., do not require the participation of human beings to be in effect and in full force and are not required at all to judge either guilt or innocence or to enforce the penalty or reward of either death or life...

"Anyone who sets aside even the least of the Law's demands and teaches others to do the same will have the lowest place in the kingdom of God."

To understand what Jesus meant by saying "the lowest place", see Genesis 3:14..

According to scripture, technically speaking, since the consequence of sin is death, anyone who teaches others to set aside the laws of God is a murderer and anyone deceived and gullible enough to swallow bullshit died in the very day they defied God, even if they do not realize that they have descended into the netherworld and even if it was decades ago,.

Dead people are everywhere, but they weren't killed by God, they were murdered by other people who convinced them that the way to eternal life is doing the exact opposite of what God commanded .

They are usually the ones freaked out about hell and judgment day and are always desperately trying to save other peoples souls from some imaginary future afterlife torment by getting them to belief in the crap that is causing their current torment in this life, and cannot, see, hear, acknowledge or retain even the smallest and most obvious truth, even when presented with irrefutable evidence..

The death is real.

Lie in the name of God, worship something made by human hands, teach others to do the same and you might never again have a coherent mind or a rational thought for the rest of your life.

But at least you will be saved from the burden of thinking and will gibber your life away happily ever after as you slowly disintegrate into nothingness...

Christ didn't preach hell and damnation. He preached the gospel and kingdom. I much prefer following His example. There is power in it.

I don't think you understand the mystery of eternal punishment though

All things are possible through God if we have faith

"Punishment of sinners in Hell are forever because God is infinitely good."

There is no 'god' as perceived by theists, as religion and 'god' are creations of man – this nonsense alone is proof of that.

Sorry, I do not buy into the war god myth ; YHWEH does not practise what he preaches, and no apologetic discourse will change that fact.

Nothing just about that. But it is ok for you to think it, because I expect God has a sense of humor.
