Because they want to hide the identities of those voting for impeachment so they don't suffer the wrath of the voters. Despite all the fake polls the democrats are aware that the voters are livid over this. It is too close to the election to have impeachment nonsense. Democrats want to take the vote away this time and undo an election they didn't like from last time.

White House, State Department, and other staff will be asked to testify, if they refuse they will receive a subpoena. If Trump tells them they are not allowed, he will then be openly committing obstruction and there will be no need for an investigation. End of story.

If they show up with a warrant, and you still refuse to let them in, you are guilty of obstruction.

That is NOT how it works. The House has NO AUTHORITY to demand anything on Impeachment from the President or the executive Branch UNLESS they voted for impeachment. YOU know it I know it and so do the Congress and the White House.

I don't know the legalities of this, or even if this is the right move or not, but, it has to be confronted. This is not the American Way. This is what socialist nations fear. Canada, the UK, other shyteholes face abuses of individual liberty and constant abuses of our election process. If there is a real crime committed, than do as you must, don't make it a political spectacle. The Kavanaugh Hearings even had my wife angry when she watched them with me. She sensed something was amiss.

Can we prove he didn't do the activities he was accused of? Of course not. It just seemed very political and unfair.

What are you talking about? It's a mechanism of government that has been part of the U.S. federal government for HUNDREDS of years, and it is quite easy to take care of. There is enough evidence to draw up articles of impeachment. With that, they are going to hold an investigation in which Trump and his people have THEIR RIGHT to come and defend their actions and show how they did nothing wrong. If they REFUSE, that is them, not the process, and therefor the process doesn't just stop because they stand their and stomp there feet and throw a tantrum... THAT'S the type of stuff you should be afraid of. I can't even imagine how many people here would have lost their shit if Hillary just told Gowdey to go **** himself she wasn't going to come to the Benghazi hearings. I think she was guilty of something in that whole situation, but I'm also going to tell you right now all the Hillary haters here are trying to use a double-standard in this situation with Trump... and Pompeo who lied about being on the call... and even ultra-religious Mike Pence was busted lying about being on the call. When you have EVERY person part of this lying about the call... you know they are busted.

So it is the way it is. There is a process. The process doesn't just stop because someone doesn't want to show up, in fact that just makes things worse for themselves like in the real world like everyone else.

With OUT a vote there is NO IMPEACHMENT process. Trump has the right to ignore demands from Congress UNLESS they vote to IMPEACH you know it or you are to stupid to breath.
