President Trump: Making America Normal Again

Just musing this morning, looking at whatever issue the really meanspirited, disingenuous left is pushing as their mandatory talking point of the day, week or month, I had to wonder:

President Trump is a master at pulling the chain of a dishonest and ultra partisan MSM/so-called legacy media. I'm think of all the sort of outrageous things he suggested, hinted at, or whatever over the last several months, all that have now disappeared from the national conversation.

Sometimes I wonder if he and his staffers don't discuss what outrageous thought or question or proposal they can put out there to get the media and the left distracted on some kind of tangent about that so they won't notice and try to sabotage what he is actually accomplishing that is necessary and good for America and Americans.

Yesterday was the third year anniversary of the Biden Administration's raid on Mar-a-lago. Ken Blackwell commemorated that pathetic event on Facebook:

Instead, it blew up in their faces.

The raid became a rallying cry. It woke up millions of Americans—Republican, Independent, even some Democrats—who realized this wasn’t just about Trump.
This was about weaponizing the government against anyone who stands in the way of the ruling class.

And here’s the irony they never saw coming: that reckless show of force may have set in motion a chain of events that’s now coming back to haunt them. The fallout from the Mar-a-Lago raid is believed to have helped push the Russiagate grand jury into Florida—right into territory far less friendly to the swamp than Washington, D.C. If that’s true, it’s the ultimate political backfire.

They wanted to end Trump’s political future. Instead, they turned him into a symbol of resistance. They wanted to send a message of fear. Instead, they exposed their own fear—fear of a man they couldn’t control, fear of a movement they couldn’t stop.
Three years later, the images from that day still burn in the minds of millions.
The Biden administration played the dirtiest hand in politics… and they may have just dealt themselves their own defeat.

The uncertainty I think is temporary though. I don't know any other way it could have been done. I am ready for the consistency to set in too. But meanwhile the stock market that is typically extremely skittish when there is economic uncertainty holds steady to strong. That signals to me that investors aren't too worried about it.

NEW TALKING POINT - TRUMP DOESN'T KNOW ECONOMICS

Observing that one of the leftists' assigned talking points to bash/discredit/smear President Trump is that 'he thinks he knows more than the economists.' I've seen at least one thread on that here at USMB.

Well my observation is that the economists have a worse track record for accuracy than weather and sports forecasters over the years. Yes, they get some things right, but they've been far more wrong than right. Remember Trump's tariffs and other economic policies were supposed to greatly increase inflation, close businesses, destroy jobs, crash the stock market, swell the deficit etc. etc.

Well none of that has happened.

And also Trump studied economics while simultaneously working full time in the family business. A business that he would build from one that was fairly modest into a multi-billion dollar empire.

I would guess the large majority of those economists bashing him have never run a business, let along accomplished more than a tiny fraction of what Trump has accomplished.

The Democrat bench is so thin that AOC and sometimes Gavin Newsom remain as the recognized leaders of the party. How pathetic is that?!!

REVERSE PSYCHOLOGY:

After some posts by our resident trolls today, I had to think that sometime I wish:

--President Trump would come out with some anti-gun concept just so we could watch the left frantically try to defend the Second Amendment. . .

--President Trump would come out with some pro choice mandate just so we could watch the left go berserk with their pro life arguments. . .

--President Trump would tease with an end to tariffs so leftist heads would explode while demanding that tariffs are necessary. . .

--President Trump would suggest that some illegals should be okay to stay so they would demand all the illegals be kicked out immediately. . .

--President Trump would say biological males should be allowed into women's private spaces so the Democrats would immediately introduce legislation banning biologcal males from those spaces and would probably kick all the biological males out of women's sports as well.

Considering that their ONLY agenda is to be against what he is for and for whatever he is against, he might be doing it wrong.

A QUESTION FOR ANYONE READING IN:

I was just thinking after today's discussions:

Suppose you had two candidates running for President.

One was a model of virtue, modesty, exemplary life. Something you can't find anything to fault him or her on for his/her entire life. A perfect role model. The closest thing to a saint you'll find on Planet Earth. Very presidential in appearance, manner and speech. But who has zero instincts, intuition, experience, skill set or concept on how to best run a large country. Some of his ideas or beliefs however sincere or well intended we know could be harmful to our country, and he has no idea how to fix what's broken.

One has been a playboy, sometimes crude, rude, petulant, obnoxious, unlikable. He brings lots of baggage to exploit and criticize. He is imperfect, maybe damaged, has no doubt done and said a lot of things that can be criticized. Though he wouldn't do those things now, he is but certainly nobody's idea of virtue or role model and certainly no saint. But he brings work ethic, courage, instincts, intuition, long experience, and amazing skill set to the office of Presidency along with a determination, track record and vision of a strong, free, secure prosperous America that millions of American share.

Which one do you vote for?

Which one can you get behind and at least provide moral support to restore America to the country it was intended to be?

I listened to a LOT of radio in the 1980's and 90's and early 2000's, but that wasn't on our local station I listened to or any of those I listened to drive all over New Mexico and parts of Texas, Arizona and Nevada.

I can only speak for myself but it was a time when we would buy a couple cases of beer and a ounce of weed , go up Big Creek hollow, build a fire and just sit around listening to music and enjoying each others company. No light but the fire. No noise but the music. Most nights there would be 5-6 of us other nights there could be up to 20. I see Trump trying to return us to a time when we didn't have worry about crime.

I love this!!!!

Yes I grew up in a world in which crime was rare, dealt with quickly and severely, and we kids could roam the neighborhood, actually the entire town, in perfect safety. It never occurred to us that anybody should shoot up our school even though many of the pickups, including teachers and admin pickups, had rifles and shot runs in racks across the back in the parking lot.

We couldn't always afford a motel or there wasn't one nearby, and we were perfectly safe sleeping in bedrolls on the side of the highway.

Even kindergarteners and gradeschoolers could walk to the one downtown movie theater, pay for his/her ticket and watch the Saturday double feature. Nobody worried about somebody snatching or molesting their kid or offering him/her dangerous substances.

We may never have that America again. But Trump believes we can return to a normal America where most Americans feel safe in their homes, places of business, schools, on the sidewalks and streets. I believe that along with him if enough get behind him.

I remember those days before the pot caused derealization disorder and fucked up my life. Same with several others I know.
Stick with beer in moderation. It doesn’t cause psychosis with one dose.
