American servicemen, policemen, philanthropy workers, firefighters and teachers say you are full of shit.

All those occupations you listed benefit most all Americans, not just a group of people belonging to a political party. Furthermore they are service jobs that can never be completed because we will always need protection as outlined in the Constitution. Fire departments and police forces are optional and locally funded, not federally funded. Taxpayers have the right to get rid of them anytime they want. And then, with the Lefts anti nuclear stance, and the price of electric going up because of that amongst other government policies, the only significant cost savings for an electric vehicle is the fact that in most states, you pay no road taxes. How long is our fearless federal and state governments, going to allow that to continue, lol!

Then they send you a road tax bill and you have to pay it. They were losing too much money on lack of road taxes with a group of people driving electric cars.

We had plenty of viable rail systems; you could go from New York City to Chicago entirely on interurbans, to St. Loius, etc. as well. What changed is the public demanded govt. build better roads for automobiles. So your belief that 'private industry' will run out and build stuff is just wrong. They let the govt. subsidize the up front costs in every case.

Private industry invests in anything that will make them a reasonable profit. Because they can't with public transportation most don't want, taxpayers get raped for it. In our county we have a consumption tax to keep the buses going. Most people don't ride buses and they can't be self sufficient because if consumers had to support them, it would cost you $30.00 to take a bus downtown.

I've never been on a train in my life outside of amusement parks when I was a child. We don't need these things.

Sure they do. My father is a retired bricklayer. I come from a family of construction workers. The difference is they never forced anybody to give them unneeded work. Private industry hired them to erect buildings for their businesses, apartments for people to live in, houses when things were slow for him.

That aside, nobody really has a problem with roads, bridges and airports. We do have a problem with charging stations, ferries, and broadband internet which should be private and not a burden on taxpayers. If these industries can't survive on the private dollar, then they shouldn't be built.

It is a Chicken and the Egg situation. People are reluctant to buy EVs because they can’t count on charging stations being available. Private industry does not invest in Charging Stations because there are not enough EVs out there.



Some do, some make a profit.
Trains move a lot of freight in this country and do well, Passenger lines relieve a lot of congestion around cities and open up City Centers where there is not much parking.
Ferries open up remote communities and allow access to the mainland

The vehicle naturally creates heat and circulates water to keep the engine cool, and it's secondary use is heat to keep you from freezing. How long do you suppose you'd last in an electric vehicle in a traffic jam that has to use electricity to generate enough heat to keep you warm?

You can't force people to use electric cars that are not ready yet no more than you could have forced Henry to build a Model-T with fuel injection. The reason there are not enough electric cars is because most people don't want them, even with the government subsides. They have no benefit other than the mentality you're saving the planet, forgetting what it takes to create that electricity in the first place.

As for trains that move freight, they are private industry. Those trains charge companies to move freight from one place to another just like trucks do.

Trump passed the stimulus to keep the economy going and to supplement people who lost their jobs because of Covid. Dementia handed out extra money when the economy was geared to recovery just to try and create more government dependents. He didn't create any jobs. The jobs were always there. It's just it was more financially advantageous to sit home and get money than it was to go out and work for it, thus the labor shortage, thus the supply chain shortage.

Covid came from China. That extra money came from a Democrat Congress and President. Trump didn't create covid but Democrats created the shortages and inflation.

The unemployment rate was dropping during Obama's term. The unemployment rate was under 5% before Trump took office. There is not one Trump policy that created any jobs.

The reason that we have inflation is because US companies are gouging consumers. Too many industries are either oligopolies or monopolies. CEOs admit this and their financial statements prove this. Companies say they are passing on costs yet their profits are going through the roof. Oil companies are withholding supply from the market to keep prices high. Oil executives admit this.
