You do know that ferries travel on water, not infrastructure, don't you? Language in the bill that forces state governments to use union labor for their projects. Trump did that, not Obama.

If you set out to lose 50 pounds, the first few pounds are easy, the last few are the hardest. If it's going to be so popular, why hasn't private industry invested in these things? I'll tell you why, because they are a failure. After these trains and ferries are built, they will always need government subsides which is another plague to our 30 trillion in debt. These are not self-funded projects by consumers. They are failures that will always need our tax dollars to keep going.

You need government to put up charging stations? Then why didn't government have to put up gas stations years ago? Government only funds things people don't want. Things that people do want are consumer driven.

It is a Chicken and the Egg situation. People are reluctant to buy EVs because they can’t count on charging stations being available. Private industry does not invest in Charging Stations because there are not enough EVs out there.

After these trains and ferries are built, they will always need government subsides

Some do, some make a profit.
Trains move a lot of freight in this country and do well, Passenger lines relieve a lot of congestion around cities and open up City Centers where there is not much parking.
Ferries open up remote communities and allow access to the mainland
