The longevity of life was greater in ancient history. Evertything was cleaner and we had healthier diets. Human beings devolved in the middle ages until the average age of life, depending on where you lived, was 30-60.

The world has changed a lot since then and nature simply does not work on timescales that are that fast. The age of connect being near the age of puberty is nonsensical. Further, it is fact that the brain is not fully matured at that time.

Two contentions

1. Young adults are already fucking at puberty age. The consequences are not extreme, and for whatever reason modern social abstractions have developed that made porking into a huge deal.

2. There are individuals during this time which are smarter and more intelligent than individuals considered past the legal adult age. Maturity is no longer age relative, or have you been to politics forum recently?

Contrary to popular misconception, I am not promoting a culture where thirty year old men are preying on 15 year old boys. I am simply stating the facts, and the facts are that someone at the age of puberty is biologically ready and most of the time mentally ready to start having sex.

perhaps the professional side of things, I could see what you are talking about. The amateur side is massive though. There still is a sea of people out there that have a camera and go to town. There are many ways to post content that you make for free to distribute to virtually anyone also for free.

That is quite simply not true. Diet was 'better' for those that were able to access it in ancient times but that was about it. Certainly cleanliness was nowhere near what we have today. In ancient times it was a real possibility that the water you drank from had some dead animals a mile upstream dumping deadly pathogens that would kill you. Got a bad infection - you died. Seriously fractured your leg - you died. Bad winter - some of you were going to die. Didn't cook your meat quite long enough yesterday - you died.

Overall maximum life span has remained largely unchanged over the centuries but average life expectancy has increased massively as modern medicine has stepped in and solved many illnesses, sanitation has ensured access to clean water and modern farming has ensured access to a steady food supply. There is a reason that populations continue to grow when they plateaued at various times in history and it is not because birth rates increased drastically - it is because death rates decreased.

Well, yes and no. Young adults are fucking other young adults at puberty and I can agree with you that the law should be silent there (and in general it is). You say you are not advocating for things like 30 year old adults preying on 14 year old children however that is what those laws address - not the 2 13 year old kids screwing around when the parents are not home. The same goes for pornographic material - we are talking about commercial production of sex here. It is not synonymous with teens exploring their sexuality.

Maturity is, in fact, age relative. That does not mean that all people mature at the same rate but people do mature as they age. Again, it is also a hard fact that the brain is not fully developed at the puberty stage.

And I contend that your 'facts' are incorrect and that teenagers are not mentally ready for sex in general as it applies to current statutory laws - IOW I am not talking about teens exploring their sexuality with other teens.
